After the success of its summer edition held last April, the Metro Manila Film Festival is now raring to replicate it as it announces the first four movies based on script that will compete in the 49th edition this December.
Leading the pack of movies are Alden Richards and Sharon Cuneta starrer entitled "A Mother and Son Story, to be directed by Nuel Naval, to be produced by Cineko Productions. Next is the horror flick, K(ampon) starring beauty Gonzales and the returning Derek Ramsay, to be directed by King Palisoc, and will be produced by Quantum Films.
Next movie is the action-fantasy movie "Penduko" starring Matteo Guidicelli, to be directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, from Sari Sari Network. Last of the four movies is the Dingdong Dantes-Marian Rivera starrer "Rewind", from ABSCBN Films Production Inc., and will be directed by Mae Cruz Alviar.
The next set of entries will be chosen based on finished films and will be announced on October.
