Congratulations To the San Beda Red Lions Back to Back Champions NCAA Season 86 and 87

The San Beda Red Lions posted a come from behind victory against the San Sebastian Golden Stags after trailing down the last three quarters 14-15 on the first, 27-32 on the second, and 48-50 on the third, San Beda took the lead in the last 5 mins. of the last quarter they almost lost the game after a miss shot of Dave Marcelo in the last 3 mins. but still The Red Lions took the Game finishing 55-57.

The Finals Most Valuable Player Award was given to San Beda's Center Player Dave Marcelo and the PSBank Maasahan player of the year was given to the King Lion Garvo Lanete, The PSBank award has a P75,000 pesos cash incentive.

This San Beda's 16th basketball championship.

Cinema One Originals 2011

It has been a Year now since I have become a Fan of Independent Film Festivals here in the Philippines, It started as a requirement for our introduction to Cinema class in FEU it was Prof. Joey Ting that requires us to watch the Cinemalaya 2010 and the film that I watched there was the movie of Joel Lamangan entitled Sigwa starred by Dawn Zulueta, Zsazsa Padilla, Megan Young, Pauleen Luna, etc. And then on the Second semester we are required to watch the CinemaOne Originals and since I was not familiar with the film showing of CinemaOne I just bought a ticket and Go inside one of the Cinemas in Shang Cineplex(I forgot the cinema number :D) the movie was titled "Ang Damgo ni Eleuteria" it was a visayan film directed by Remton Zuasola.

Now another year passed and this year a new batch of indie films will be shown by different directors, writers, brilliant mind, etc. here are the entries for the 2011 CinemaOne Originals

Sports Update: NCAA Season 87 Finals

The game 1 of the best of Three Finals between the San Beda Red lions and San Sebastian College Stags was held awhile ago at the Araneta Coliseum and as expected both teams showed their best to outsmart and outscore each other but in the latter part it seems that the bench of the Stags failed to match against the Bench players of San Beda putting them down 10 points 67-57. and finally the match ended with the Red Lions taking home the game 1 of the best of three finals 75-63. meanwhile before the game 1 started individual awards were given and the Mythical five and the MVP was named 

Defensive Player of the Year: Ian Sangalang(SSC-R)

Most Improved Player: Raymond Almazan(Letran)

Rookie of the Year: Josan Nimes(Mapua)

MTRCB Movie Ratings

I was bothered awhile ago by this three young girls I think they are about 9-14 years of age that wants to watch the movie Paranormal 3 awhile ago in Shang Cineplex in Shangrila Plaza Mall and they were like forcing not forcing "kinukulit" is the right term maybe the Lady in the counter to sell them tickets for them to watch it, and the Lady told them that the movie is R-13 the two lady in the counter told the kids that the movie is not Parental Guidance it is R or restricted for the kids, But it seems that they don;t understand it so now let me discuss the different ratings that MTRCB gives to all the movies being shown in all cinemas in the philippines first let us start of.

G or GP or the General Patronage: This rating is given to a movie that suits to all ages from a kid to an adult or in a more easier way it is for all ages.


Movies today that are being shown with a G rating are the Following 




Real Steel (disney) starring Hugh Jackmann, Dakota Goyo, and Evangeline Lilly 
Dolphin Tale (warner bros) starring Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr, and Ashley Judd


PG-13 or Parental Guidance: This ratings is given to movies that are for ages 13 and above but also for Children below 13 with the guidance of the parents.

Sports Update: NCAA Season 87 Finals

Last October 17 2011, The NCAA season 87 mens basketball semifinals was held. 

The Number 1 seed San Beda College Red Lions defeated the number 4 seed Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers 83-74, The Red Lions is Back to the Finals for the 6th straight Year the first was in 2006 wherein they took the championship after 28 years after defeating the PCU Dolphins in the Finals, in 2007 San Beda made a Back to Back Championship then after defeating the Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights. on 2008 San Beda made a 3peat after defeating the JRU Heavy Bomber but in 2009 in their campaign for their 4peat they where defeated by San Sebastian College -Recoletos Golden Stags. Last Year The Red Lions Made History After Sweeping The elimination round. 

On the Second Match Up the Number 3 seed Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights forges a Do or Die game awhile ago after defeating the Number 2 seed San Sebastian College- Recoletos Golden Stags 70-62

Awhile ago San Sebastian Defeated Letran 63-56 to arrange a Best of 3 Finals against the Defending Champions San Beda, This is the 3rd straight year that San Beda and San Sebastian will face in the Finals.

The Best of 3 finals series will begin on Monday October 24 2011

According to the Box Office Mojo No other Woman is now past the 5 million dollar mark in its third week, No other woman earned $2,137,432 or PhP 94,422,132 despite the typhoon, on the 2nd week it earned another $1,268,816 or another PhP54,863,350 making a total of $3,724,589 or a total of PhP 161,050,483 gross for 2 weeks surpassing the 4 week earning of the Sarah Geronimo- Gerald Anderson Movie Catch Me I'm In Love which earned which earned only Php 120.21 million in its 4 week run, also no other woman beats the All time highest box office record of the Sarah-John Lloyd Movie You Changed My life which earned a total of PhP 229 million in its 4 week run. No Other Woman on its 3rd week earns a total of PhP236,364,702

Rihanna also put up a Facebook campaign in her page that enables the fans to unlock the information of the album
