ALV Pageant Circle Officially Welcome Universal Woman Philippines

Inclusiveness has been the name of the game in modern day female pageantry, no boundaries, no barriers, no limits, everyone is welcome to celebrate ones womanhood. 

Last February 27, Arnold L. Vegafria and the ALV Pageant Circle welcomed its newest franchise partner the "Universal Woman" pageant led by its first winner Valentina Sanchez Trivella from Venezuela and Visionary Chief and Image Consultant Alexander Gonzales in a press conference held at the Kingsford Hotel in Pasay City. 

Universal Woman Pageant serves as a platform to promote the uniqueness, brilliance, and diverse beauty of every woman that has been making and creating positive impact in our society, and by this, the pageant aims to promote real inclusivity by welcoming every women that are 25-45 years old, they can be married, divorced, with children, even transwomen are welcome to join in this pageant.

The pageant aims to bring a new era in beauty pageants where beauty shines through confidence and every positive impact that women make in our society are celebrated.

The second edition of the Universal Woman pageant is set on March 24 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where we will be sending Maria Gigante as the very first Universal Woman Philippines. 

During the press conference the 29-year-old, model-host Maria also had her official sashing and crowning moment, definitely she is all set to represent the Philippines at the Universal stage. 

Maria Gigante finished in the Top 11 of the Miss World Philippines pageant held back in June of 2022 where Gwendolyne Fourniol emerged as the winner.

Ben&Ben to Perform as Special Guest at Ed Sheeran '+ - = ÷ x Tour' in the Philippines; Gen Ad (Cat 8) Section Added

Hit Korean movie “Concrete Utopia” now streaming on Viu Philippines

 The Korean disaster thriller movie “Concrete Utopia,” which grossed over $28 million, is now streaming on Viu Philippines.

 

“Concrete Utopia,” Korea’s fourth highest grossing film of 2023, is set in Seoul after a devastating earthquake. In the story, everything is in shambles except for the Hwang Gung Apartments, which remains intact. As outsiders flock to Hwang Gung Apartments to escape the cold, young couple Min-sung (played by Park Seo-joon) and Myung-hwa (played by Park Boo-young) must decide on the best course of action while the mysterious Yeong-tak (Lee Byung-Hun) emerges to lead the fate of the community. In no time, the apartment is filled beyond capacity, driving the residents to enact harsh measures for their survival.

 

Since its theatrical release in South Korea in August 2023, “Concrete Utopia” has captured the hearts and imagination of audiences across the globe with its riveting story, suspenseful drama and powerful performances. Teejay Marquez: Breaking Out of the Stereotype

 

It's definitely a fruitful start for 2024 for Teejay Marquez. After the success of his first entry in the recently concluded 49th Metro Manila Film Festival, the influx of project hasn't stop for Teejay. 

The success of the hit afternoon prime series "Makiling" where he played one of the crazy five is making waves across the country and Teejay has been very in demand to different town shows by the Kapuso network. 

This February, Teejay is all set for a new role as he co stars with Beauty Gonzales and Kelvin Miranda in the movie "After All". 

Teejay plays the role of Joey, Yna's only son (Yna is played by Beauty Gonzales). She was a very devoted mother to his son, until Joey gets involved in a scandal with another guy that was posted by his ex-girlfriend Miles (Devon Seron). This incident turned their lives around specially for Joey who fell into deep depression and became inconsolable. 

Through Joey, Yna will come across to who could've been the rebirth of his childhood sweetheart Joselito in the character of Joseph (Kelvin Miranda), but a sudden twist of event will put the three of them in a dire situation that will trap Yna out, will she choose her could be great love Joseph or will she choose his son Joey? 

After All is directed by Adolf Alix Jr., produced by ALV Films and Entertainment, the movie also stars Devon Seron, Dindi Pajares, Riana Pangindian, Katrina Llegado, Kiko Ipapo, and Juan Carlos Galano. In cinemas February 28. 

1. How does it feel of getting roles that are out of the box? 

"It feels good because medyo dumating din sa point na natattype cast ko na yung sarili ko na every time na may character na hinahanap parang "ah wag si Teejay kasi pa cute lang yan, ah si Teejay ngingiti lang yan eh, pacute ganito ganyan" so parang for me yun nabigyan ako bigla ng ganitong kontrabida, ganitong gay role, parang sabi ko ah atleast naeexplore ko yung mga ibang acting chops ko at nakikita ko na kaya ko palang gawin. 

So I'm very happy na binibigyan ako ng ganitong genre or character na pwede kong paglaruan."    

2. For you what's easier, playing the good guy or portraying the bad one?

"Ah siguro mas madali maging kontrabida, kasi parang sa akin di naman dahil gusto kong mapanakit kasi parang ibinibigay mo lang yung conflict dun sa kaeksena mo like dun sa bida, pero yung bida kasi ang dami nyang pinagdadaanan, iiyak ka ng iiyak, pero walang problema gusto ko din maging bida, but as of now nageenjoy ako sa pagiging kontrabida ko. 

3. On what point were able to relate to your character Joey?

"Nasa fever ako ng Ben x Jim noon eh, so nung binigay sa akin yun hindi ako masyadong naka relate dahil meron akong same experience kay Joey, but nakarelate ako because masyado na kong nakumportable dun sa pag ganap ko kay ben, so for me mabilis lang ako sumegway kay Joey dito sa After All. 

Ang tinignan ko na lang dun is what if nangyare sa akin to with my dad, isa yung gusto naming babae na liligawan, nagaway kami, so yun yung inisip ko that's why meron akong hugot at tsaka siguro nung mga panahon na yun syempre nasasaktan ka, ginamit ko lahat ng mga heart broken experience ko, tsaka kaeksena ko si Beauty (Gonzales) kaya kailangan itodo ko yung mga malalalim na feelings."   

4. How would you define love?   

"Love is love, kahit gaano mo pa yan takasan, kahit mawala man sayo yan minsan, hindi man magsurvive, love is there, makakahanap at makakahanap ka ng para sayo, wait ka lang. 

 

Mister Pilipinas Worldwide Appoint Winners to Respective International Pageants.

After months of waiting the winners of the second edition of Mister Pilipinas Worldwide held last October 2023 has finally received their official international assignments in the 3 in 1 event held in a hotel in Pasay City over the weekend. 

As expected the second Mister Pilipinas winner, Brandon Espiritu from Guam will be representing the Philippines in the Mister Supranational Pageant in Poland mid of 2024. Justine Ong of Tacloban is set to represent the country in the Thailand edition of the Mister International pageant in Bangkok, while Dom Corilla of California was named as the country's representative in the Mister Global pageant in Thailand as well. 

Emmerson Gomez of Tarlac will be our bet for the second edition of the Mister Cosmopolitan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Meanwhile, Anthony Cunningham was appointed in MPW's newest title, the Man of the Year pageant in Bali, Indonesia. 

While everyone is expected to compete this year, Jordan San Juan is set to compete for the next edition of the Manhunt Supermodel pageant as Kenneth Stromsnes is set to compete in the upcoming edition of Manhunt in Thailand mid of 2024. 

The Miss Philippines pageant has also appointed their winners to their respective pageants with three new titles, Chantal Schmidt of Cebu is set to fly to Egypt next month to compete in the Miss Eco International, while TMP winner Alethea Ambrosio is Pauline Amelincx successor to the Miss Supranational Philippines title. 

Other crowns at stake are Miss Asia Pacific-Philippines who went to Blessa Figueroa, Isabella delos Santos was named as Miss Aura Philippines. and Hanna Uyan was named as Miss Eco Teen Philippines. 

 

 

PH's Bet Gwen Fourniol All Set to Conquer the 71st Miss World in India

 

After almost two years of waiting, Gwendolyne Fourniol is all set to conquer the 71st Miss World in Mumbai, India on March 9! 

 

This 23-year-old French-Pinay is a student and model, currently completing her degree in economics at the Oxford Brooks University in London. 

 

Gwen's motto is 'To educate a child is to empower generations.’ 

 

Education has been her advocacy ever since, she is in fact the ambassador of the Educational Research and Development Assistance Foundation or ERDA, a foundation that aims to give free quality education within reach by everyone.

Beloved pop icon of the Backstreet Boys, NICK CARTER, is bringing his solo “Who I Am” Tour to Asia with concerts scheduled in MANILA on Friday, May 24 at the New Frontier Theater; and in CEBU on Thursday, May 23 at the Waterfront Hotel Ballroom. Presented by Wilbros Live.

 

The “Who I Am” Tour, which has already completed successful legs in the United States, Canada and South America, marks Carter’s return to the stage as a solo artist after seven years. Kelvin Miranda and Beauty Gonzales Finally On the Big Screen via "After All"

After the long wait, Beauty Gonzales and Kelvin Miranda are all set to make a comeback and this time it will be on the big screen as their May-December love team will be starring in the movie "After All". 

They say that Love is boundless and limitless, it defies all the barriers and obstacles that will hinder it, and that all Great Love don't end and "After All" is all about that. The movie tells the story of Yna (Beauty) who lost her great love Joselito (Kiko Ipapo) back when they were younger, years later the now grown up Yna with her new life suddenly came across to whom she thought to be Joselito's reincarnation in Joseph (Kelvin) because of the bizarre similarities and series of events Yna started to fall for Joseph, but will their May-December affair succeed this time or will succumb once again.     

Two years after the movie was announced by its director Adolf Alix jr.,  finally "After All" is seeing the day of light this February 28 in cinemas nationwide, produced by ALV Films and Entertainment. 

Beauty and Kelvin were first teamed up in the GMA afternoon mini-series "Stories from the Heart: Loving Miss Bridgette" that was a big hit because of the undeniable chemistry between the two actors, currently the two are working together in the sitcom "Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis".

After All also stars Devon Seron, Juan Carlos Galano, Dindi Pajares, Riana Pangindian, Katrina Llegado, Kiko Ipapo, and Teejay Marquez. The story was written by Gina Marissa Tagasa and Jose Marie Abacan.
