The Philippines premier Independent Film Festival is now on its 10th year, The Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival has been offering quality indie movies that showcase different variety of stories far from what we see on mainstream movies.

Dubbed as the Cinemalaya X the festival is set to begin on August 1 to 10 that will feature movies in 2 different major categories the Directors Showcase and the New Breed that showcases movies from veteran directors and the upcoming moving makers, meanwhile there is also 2 minor categories that features a short length film that is made by students or aspiring movie makers.

The Cinemalaya X will be shown at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, and o Ayala Malls like Trinoma, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, and Fairview Terraces. tickets are priced at Php 150- Php 250. There's a 50% discount for Students and 20% Discount for Senior Citizens, PWD, and Government and Military Personnel just present your ID Upon purchase.

The Voice Kids Philippines Finale

Awhile ago the first ever The Voice Kids Philippines Winner was named and She was non other than Lyca Gairanod. Lyca bested Darren who placed 2nd, Juan Karlos that is on 3rd place and Darlene on the last spot. Lyca performed with the Aegis in the final live show that earned her a standing ovation from the audience, meanwhile Darren performed with Martin Nievera, Darlene performed with Lani Misalucha and Juan Karlos performed with Gary Valenciano.

Phil Pop 2014 Winners

The Biggest Multimedia Song Writing Competition already concluded its 3rd year and Jungee Marcelo's Salbabida interpreted by Kyla won this years grand prize worth 1 million pesos, while Toto Sorioso's Awit Mo'y Nandito Pa interpreted by Youtube sensation Aldrich Talonding and James Bucong received 500,000 pesos for placing 1st place, and Daryl Ong's Torpe interpreted by Kris Lawrence earned him 250000 pesos placing 2nd.
