UAAP Season 75 Game Result (July 29)





The Far Eastern University Tamaraws routs the University of the East Red Warriors 92-66 to remain the only unbeaten team for the 75th season of the UAAP held at the MOA Arena last Sunday. 


The Red Warriors led the Tamaraws in the 1st quarter with 14-18, but the Tams became aggressive in the next quarters leaving UE hapless, the 1st ended with FEU on top by 13 points. in the 3rd quarter the tams ended it with a 61-47 lead over the Red Warriors. In the 4th quarter some of FEU's bench players were able to play like Rookie's Achie Inigo and Reymar Jose who both produced 2pts each and also one of the senior member of the Team was fielded in in the 4th Quarter Mendoza produced 8 points only in the 4th quarter. despite the exit of FEU's main men RR Garcia and Terrence Romeo the Red Warriors had a difficult time in scoring ending the game with 92-66 for the FEU Tamaraws. 


Terrence Romeo and RR Garcia tandem combined 37 points for the Tamaraws in winning the game, while Chris Javier and Roi Sumang scored 36 points of the 66 points of UE in this Game.


On the second game the Adamson Falcons survived the late run of the UP Fighting maroons as they defeated them 69-67. 


Adamson led by 20 in the 1st quarter adter ending it at 28-8 but UP sticks to its pet name and keep on fighting as they inch closer at the end of the 1st half 28-37. In the 3rd quarter UP finally tied the ball game after a lay up from Asilum, UP's fighting Spirit rose in the fourth quarter trailed by 5 points with 2 minutes left in the ball game a Three pointer by Mark Lopez and a lay up from Padilla tied the ball game but Brondial scores another as UP miss their last scoring oppurtunity and Adamson taking the game at 69-67


Jericho Cruz and Ejay Camson top scored for the Falcons producing 19 points each, while Mark Lopez and Chris Ball top scored in UP with 17 and 13 points respectively

UAAP Season 75 Game Result (July 28)

The Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles defeated the De La Salle University Green Archers 71-61 in their face off last Saturday at the MOA Arena for the 1st round of elimination


The Blue Eagles dominates the Green Archers in the first quarter with 20-8 but La Salle bounced back in the second quarter with now a better field goal shooting closing in to the score of Ateneo in the 1st half 35-26, in the 2nd half Torres and Teng started a run to closed in to Ateneo 37-33 and Slaughter scored 6 straight points to Put Ateneo in a more comfortable lead but La Salle made another run again after a Back to Back three's from Revilla and Teng tied the Game at 42-all.  But still Ateneo managed to keep the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter 53-51. Ateneo remain distant to La Salle in the 4th quarter after leading 67-61 40 seconds left in the game. 


Greg Slaughter led the way for the 3rd win of Ateneo producing 20 points, while Nico Salva and Kiefer Ravena helped him both producing 16 points. on the green side LA Revilla top scored the Archers with 16 points supporting him is Rookie Jeron Teng with 13 points. 



On the first Game the UST growling Tigers stuns the NU Bulldogs after defeating them 77-71 Jeric Teng exploded 21 points in this game for UST while Bobby Ray Parks jr. Scored 25 points for the Bulldogs.

NCAA Season 88 Game Results (July 28)


The Perpetual Altas escapes the EAC Generals 72-71 in the continuation of the 88th season of the NCAA yesterday at the San Juan Arena. 
The EAC Generals almost won their second game yesterday leading the Altas 69-71 1:38 left before the game end but Perpetual Help's Veteran Shooter Jett Vidal puts up a Buzzer beater 3 point shot that earned them the close fight game 72-71. The Altas dictate the pace of the first three quarters leaving the Generals behind by 2 in the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter, but in the 3rd Quarter the Altas pulls away in the third quarter 52-43 but the Generals gets back to life in the 4th and leads in the game at 60-71 with the tandem of Jan Jamon and Remy Morada, But Jett Vidal exploded in that last part of the 4th quarter producing Back to back three's after 2 turn over cutting the lead to 66-71. 
Jett Vidal led the Perps Altas with 17 points, 15 of which came from the second half, Remy Morada on the other side produces 23 points for the Generals. The generals now are with 1-6 win loss record while the Perp Altas moved up to 5-2 win loss record.
On the second game The San Sebastian Golden Stags over powered the Arellano Chiefs 91-70, Ian Sangalang and Calvin Abueva partnered with 27 and 22 points respectively for the Stags in to win this game, while Nard Pinto and Rocky Acidre produced 18 and 14 points each for the Chiefs in losing efforts. 
The Stags now with 5-1 win -loss record while the Chiefs received a their 5th loss they are now at 2-5.

NCAA Season 88 Game Results (July 26)


The Perpetual Altas edges the Mapua Cardinals 94-85 in an overtime match yesterday in the continuation of the first round of the 88th season of the NCAA held at the Arena in San Juan. 

The Altas commanded the 1st half of the game scoring 24-11 in the 1st quarter against the Cardinals and at 44-35 in the 2nd quarter, But the Cardinals slowly closing in to the score of the Altas 64-57, and The Cardinals tied the game in the 4th quarter at 85-all, in the overtime the Cardinals draw first blood as Gab Banal scores the First point of the OT via freethrow but Jett Vidal answers back and scores a basket taking back the lead to the Altas. A play by Jonathan Banal to Mike Parala that made a 88-87 lead but Earl Thompson and Femi Babayemi both scored triple taking the lead 88-93. 

Earl Thompson led the Altas with 22 points while Mike Parala top scored for the cardinals with 20 points.

On the Second game The JRU Heavy Bombers blasted the Lyceum Pirates 85-71 

After Three close Quarters the Heavy Bombers Pulled away in 4th quarter not letting the Pirates to close in with the help of their defense and the lack of fire power by the Pirates. 5 heavy Bomber scored in double digit namely John Villarias with 15 points, Mike Mabulac, Nate Matute, and John Lopez with 13 points each and Ronnel Carampil with 11 points, On the other side 3 Pirates scored in Double Digit, Chris Cayabyab with 25 points, Shane Ko with 14 points and Cel Guevara with 12 points.

The Heavy Bombers are now on  a 5-1 record while Lyceum dropped their 6th game.

UAAP Season 75 Game Results (July 27)




The FEU Tamaraws again won another crucial game in the 75th season of the UAAP after they defeated the Adamson University Falcons 65-62 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. 


Both squads started strong as the 1st quarter ended 15-all in the second quarter the Tams puts a little run against the falcons as they lead them at the end of the first half 35-28, but the gritty falcons inched close in the 3rd quarter 50-49, In the 4th quarter a much tighter game between both squads, as the Falcons gets a 1 point lead courtesy of Harry Petillos 50-51 but Mark Bringas takes the lead back to the tams and RR Garcia extending the lead courtesy of his Three Point shot and another play from Terrence Romeo extends FEU's lead tp 57-51, A three point play courtesy of a foul to Rodney Brondial cuts the tams lead to 1point and a triple from Allen Etrone steals the Lead from the tams at 57-58 but Mike Tolomia Scores a Triple and a Play to take back the lead for the Tams at 62-58 4 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, Romeo with another play plus a foul puts FEU at 65-58, Eric Camson tried to closed in 19 seconds left as he basket 2 points plus 2 freethrows making it 65-62. 


Terrence Romeo led the Tamaraws in winning with 23 points followed by RR Garcia with 12 points and Marc Belo with 9, on the other side Allen Etrone top scored for the falcons with 13 points followed by Eric Camson and Rodney Brondial with both 11 points.  


On the first Game the NU Bulldogs bounced back from their loss last week against the Ateneo Blue Eagles after they defeated the UP Fighting Maroons 67-50, reigning MVP Rayray Parks again lead the Bulldogs with 18 points followed by Emmanuel Mbe with 17 points while Mike Silungan and Jett Manuel scored 11 points each for the UP Fighting Maroons.

NCAA Season 88 Game Results (July 25)

The College of Saint Benilde Blazers survives an Over time match against the Arellano University Chiefs 80-73 in the first ever out of town match of the 88th season of the NCAA held at the Laguna Sports Complex in Sta. Cruz, Laguna

The game between the two teams where tight as the first quarter ended 18-all, The Blazers coming off a back to back loss against San beda and Perpetual help were eager to bounce back and stop their losing streak. the 2 teams exchanged lead for the next 2 quarters on the last 30 second of the 4th quarter A three pointer by Vergel Zulueta pushes the game into overtime at 67-all sadly the Chiefs were in foul trouble as 2 of their players Zulueta and Caperal were already fouled out of the Game, also CSB's Joel Tolentino was fouled out of the game 2 minutes left on the 4th quarter, In the Over Time Carlo Lastimosa secured a safe lead for the blazers as he was fouled twice securing a 80-73 lead over the chiefs as the game ended. 

Carlo Lastimosa and Paolo Taha produced 17 and 12 points respectively for the Blazers, surprisingly Dexter Garcia stepped up in the 4th quarter producing 7 points in the 4th quarter. by the way Dexter Garcia is the  cousin of FEU Tamaraws Main man RR Garcia. on the other hand Levi Hernandez and Rocky Acidre partnered for the AU Chiefs but sadly they too they 4th loss of the season while the Blazers goes up with 3-4 win-loss record.    

On the first game The Letran Knights escapes an almost defeat from the EAC Generals 65-62, Kevin Alas again is the top scorer for Letran producing 23 points while Remy Morada scored 21 points. The Knight and The Generals neck to neck fight from start to finish as the Knights improve to 3-4 while the Generals still struggling to get there second win.

NCAA season 88 Game Result (July 23)

The JRU Heavy Bombers defeated the Perpetual Help Altas in a close game 64-59 awhile ago in the continuation of the 88th season of the NCAA. yesterday at the San Juan Arena. 


The heavy bomber coming from a lost against the stags bounced back and stop the winning streak of the Altas. Alex Almario and Nate Matute partnered for the Heavy bombers to produce 24 points for them, While Jett Vidal proves that he is the perps steadiest scorer as he produces 20 points for the perps but sadly they lost the game. 


On the 1st game an exciting game happened between the San Sebastian Golden Stags against the Lyceum Pirates as the Pirates almost defeated the stags in that game luckily on and off player Ronald Pascual exploded on the last part of the game producing 2 beyond the arc shots that moved the stags away from the gritty Pirates and eventually winning the game. Ronald Pascual almost broke his Career high performance of 33 points way back last year after he produces 32 big points for the stags, while on the other hand Shane Ko and Chris Cayabyab produced 20 points each for the pirates as they got their 5th loss of the season.

UAAP Season 75 Game Results (July 22)

The FEU Tamaraws skip past the Strong defense of the DLSU Green Archers after the tamaraws defeated the Green Archers  in a low scoring ball game 48-46 in the continuation of the 75th season of the UAAP after games yesterday were suspended due to typhoon Ferdie.


The Tamaraws started strong in the first quarter leading the Green Archers 12-6 but so much foul puts the tamaraws in Penalty earl in the first quarter that gave chance to the Green Archers to closed in at the end of the 1st quarter at 15-11, In the Second and Third Quarter the Green Archers showed solid defense that limited the Tams in scoring also too many air balls that caused them the 2nd quarter ending the first half 23-26 in favor of the Green Archers,


The next 2 quarters are a tight race for the both squad and at almost end of the 4th quarter La Salle leads FEU with 44-41 but with Terrence Romeo's Charity Bucket and Carl Cruz scoring from a jumper tied the game at 44-44 all, FEU took the lead with Hargrove splitting his freethrows but DLSU's Center Norbert Torres took back the lead bucketing two of his free baskets giving them a 1 point lead against the tams. Mike Tolomia scores for the tams 34 seconds to go to take a 2point lead over the Green Archers and eventually winning the game. 


Terrence Romeo was the only player to be in the double digit mark producing 10 points for the Tams, 4 players of DLSU scored 8 points each namely Yutien Andrada, Almond Vostros, Norbert Torres, and Jovet Mendoza. 


This made the Tams the only undefeated team so far for this season as the archers gained their first loss.


The Ateneo Blue Eagles bounces off from a 1 point loss from the UST Tigers on their last game after they tamed the NU bulldogs 89-65. Everyone thought that it will be an exciting match up since NU defeated Ateneo in the Pre Season league and also NU is coming of a 35 point win over the UE Red Warriors, But it seems that the Blue Eagles were eager to bounce of from that sorry loss against UST. 


The Blue Eagles dictated the pace of the game as the Bulldogs cannot even closed in to the score of the eagles, From the 1st to the 4th quarter ateneo led NU by as much as 10 points.


Last year's Finals MVP Nico Salva, Rookie Of the Year Kiefer Ravena, and Mythical Five Member Greg Slaughter powered the Blue Eagles producing 21, 17, and 14 points respectively against Last year's Season's MVP Rayray Parks that produced 22 points for NU in lossing efforts. 


Ateneo now with a 2-1 record, while NU is at 1-1.
