The defending champs NU Bullpups manages to fend off the gritty Baby Tamaraws to take the first game of the finals 79-61.
The Baby Tams were able to open the game with an early 17-3 advantage, but the Bullpups manages to erase it and took control of the game as foul trouble plagued the Baby Tams through out the game.
Cholo Anonuevo led the Baby Tams with 13 points and 11 rebounds, Jorick Bautista and JanRey Pasaol both added 10 points.
