Samsung announced last Monday, February 24, on their Event at MWC their newest flagship phone for 2014 the Samsung Galaxy S5, But it didn't made any impact at all since nothing much has change with the looks, few features were added but still it doesn't have that wow factor that will make you buy it, but well the phone adds some interesting features like the Fingerprint Sensor, IP67 Certified dust and water resistant that can last up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inches AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080x1920 picels and -432 ppi pixel density, the S5 also features an all new Touchwiz UI running on Android 4.4.2 and has a 16/32GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD Card, it als has a 2GB of RAM, It packs a 16 Megapixel Camera with LED flash and a 2 Megapixel front facing camera.
It runs on Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and is clocked at 2.5GHz from its Quadcore Karat 400 Processor. the phone features wireless charging capacity via Qi wireless chargers, S Voice, S Health, Heartrate Sensor and the new Kids Mode to keep the things on your phone safe guarded when your kids touch it. the back plate of S5 looks like that of the Note 3 that is the only thing I noticed that changed significantly. It comes in White, Black, Blue and Gold. It will be available sometime next month the price is said to be lower than the price of S4 when it was released so maybe that's around U$400
Samsung also released the Samsung Galaxy Gear2 their 2nd Smartwatch.
