Huawei Mate 30 Pro

2019 is a tough year for Huawei, after Google parting ways with them earlier this year, the Chinese tech giant still has not found an alternative operating system for their future smartphone line and future means that the their newest flagship device the Mate 30 Pro is part of it. 

Although the Mate 30 and the 30 pro runs on Android 10, the device is not running any Google services and apps such as the Google Play Store, what's the implication of the Mate 30 series not having the Google Play Store? Well the only way for them to get apps is either Huawei's App Gallery or other third party APK apps such as Apptoid, and Huawei's App Gallery contains limited applications like it doesn't have Facebook and Instagram applications. Huawei is said to be funding more third party app makers to make apps for them, but still the lack of official apps will definately be a big deal for most consumers. 

So okay, I was able to get my hand on the Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, thanks to Huawei's getting to know more about program of Mate 30 series that I got through the Hi Care app I was able to feel and experience how great this phone is. (By the way this is not a paid content). 

So okay first thing first, the Mate 30 series feels solid with an all glass build both devices feels premium in the hand, will be focusing more on the Mate 30 Pro in this article, but first let me discuss the Mate 30. 

The Mate 30 features a 6.62 inch OLED screen, Android 10, Kirin 990, 8GB of RAM, and 4200mAh Battery, the biggest difference between the pro and this is the Camera, the Mate 30 comes with a notch that only houses the dual 24 megapixel camera and 3D TOF camera, on the rear camera only has a 40 MP camera, 8mp camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 16 MP ultrawide camera lens

The Mate 30 is priced at 34990 here in the Philippines. 

The Mate 30 Pro got a really beautiful waterfall screen design that is very vibrant and got some punchy colors in it, the screen measures at 6.53 inches tho if you'll compare it side by side both Mate 30's are about the same size. It also runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10, Kirin 990, 128/256GB ROM and 8GB of RAM and a 4500 mAh battery. 

The camera of the Mate 30 Pro is packed with two powerful 40 megapixel cameras one is an Ultrawide Cine Lens and the other is a SuperSensing Wide lens for better low light photos, an 8megapixel Telephoto lens is also included along with a 3D Depth Sensing lens that is all housed in a circular panel that kinda looks so Lumia 1020-ish. 

There's also a notch on this phone that houses a 32mp camera and a 3D TOF for smart gestures and face ID.

After a huge collapse in their last game against Ateneo, the FEU Tamaraws made sure that they will cement the victory this time after they tormented De La Salle Green Archers, 81-60.

The Tamaraws led La Salle by as much as 22 points in this game, they also had a season high 54.1% field goal percentage.

LJay Gonzales and Kenneth Tuffin led the Tams with both having 14 points, Inno Comboy added 12 points and Xyrus Torres added 11 points in this game

The Tamaraws equalizes their record to 6-6, while La Salle drops to 5-6.

The San Sebastian Stags completes the final four casts after they defeated the Perpetual Altas 99-94, they eliminated CSB and Mapua.

#NCAA95 Day 34: Letran sealed off third spot, San Beda sweeps elimination round

The Letran Knights sealed off the third spot with a win against the EAC Generals 87-79.

Larry Muyang led the Knights with 22 points and 11 rebounds, Jethro Mendoza had 26 points to lead the Generals.

The San Beda Red Lions made history again after they swept the eliminations 18-0, after they defeated the Lyceum Pirates 85-62.

Donald Tankoua had 26 points, Calvin Oftana added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Red Lions, while Jaycee Marcelino top scored for the Pirates with 17 points.

#UAAP82 Day 18: Tamaraws collapsed as Ateneo mounts successful comeback.

The Tamaraws looked like they almost had this game against Ateneo, but suddenly things turned around as they collapsed earlyin the second half to give the Blue Eagles a 65-55 victory to remain undefeated in the tournament.

The Mapua Cardinals keep fighting for their final four bid after they bid goodbye to the Perpetual Altas 85-81.

Warren Bonifacio had 15 points for the Cardinals, while Benedict Adamos had 25 for the Altas.

San Sebastian defeated Arellano 85-82 to keep the fourth spot on their side.

RK Ilagan top scored for the Stags with 20 points, Kent Salado had 26 points for the Chiefs.

CSB blazes through JR 66-58 to keep final four contentions alive.

Ray Carlos and Unique Naboa led the Blazers with both having 13 points, John Delos Santos and John Amores both had 10 points for JRU.

#UAAP82 Day 17: Tamaraws charges back, take UST down.

The Far Eastern University charges back to the winning column after they emerged victorious over the UST Growling Tigers, 72-58. 

The Tamaraws took control of the whole game despite UST's effort to cut the lead of FEU down, the opening period ended at 14-10, first half concluded with a 26-23 advantage. 

Going to the second half the UST was able to keep it still close in the third period, but in the final quarter the Tamaraws pulled away in the final period with a 10-2 run to secure the win. 

Rookie Royce Alforque led the charge of the Tamaraws in this game with 16 points, with a 87. 5% shot efficiency. LJ Gonzales top scored with 17 points, while Alec Stockton added 10 points.

Justin Gutang top scored for CSB with 23 points.
