#UAAP81 Volleyball: Adamson outlast UST in 5 sets, Lady Spikers shoots down Lady Eagles.

Adamson soared high after they survived a five setter match against UST 33-31, 23-25, 16-25, 25-15, and 16-14 to chalk up their first win this season.

Paolo Pablico led the Soaring Falcons with 23 points, 21 of which came from attacks. Meanwhile, Joshua Umandal led the scoring for the Tiger Spikers with 22 points, 19 coming from spikes.

In the second game, the Ateneo Blue Eagles made a quick work of their rivals DLSU Green Spikers after sweeping them in 3 straight sets 25-23, 25-22, and 25-15 to open the season on a high note.

Returning Anthony Koyfman led the Blue shirts with 15 points, 13 came from Attacks and 2 from the Blocking department. Chris Dumago top scored on the Greens with 12 points, 10 from attacks and 2 from the service area.

The De La Salle Lady Spikers showed that they are still the force to recon after they demolished the much taller pre season favorites, non other than the Ateneo Lady Eagles in four sets 25-14, 25-17, 16-25, and 25-19,

The Lady Spikers showed up their newest ace in rookie Jolina Dela Cruz who scored 11 points in this game, of course veteran Desiree Cheng didn't let the young spikers work on their own as she led her team with 13 points.

Kat Tolentino on the other hand was the lone Lady Eagle in double digits with 16 points.

In the first game, the UST Golden Tigresses outlast the Adamson Lady Falcons in a thrilling five set action 25-21, 25-21, 24-26, 24-26, 15-6.

Rookie Tigress Eya Laura dropped 17 points in this match, while Bernadette Flora gave the Lady Falcons 14 points.

The FEU Tamaraws Spikers opens up their season 81 campaign with a dominant victory over the defending champions NU Bulldogs 25-12, 25-18, and 25-17.

Setter Owen Suarez was named player of the game with 22 excellent sets and 5 points, Richard Solis top scored with 9 points followed by Jude Garcia and JP Bugaoan with 8 points each.

Bryan Bagunas was the lone bright spot on the side of the defending champs with 15 points.

In the first game the UE Red Warriors emerged victorious over the UP Maroons Spikers in 4 sets 20-25, 25-10, 25-22, 25-21.

Clifford Inoferio top scored for the Red Warriors with 14 points, John Mark Milette top scored for UP with 17 points.

In the Women's Division, the FEU Lady Tamaraws shrugged off a shaky first set loss to beat down the short handed NU Lady Bulldogs 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-12.

Rookie Lady Tams Lyka Ebon showed a very promising start after she was named as the player of the game with 13 points from 9 attacks and 4 aces, NU's super rookie Ivy Lacsina also showed off her prowess after scoring 14 points all coming from attacks.

Meanwhile, the UP Lady Maroons dodged an opening day upset ax from the UE Lady Warriors after they rallied back to win the five set match after being down 2 sets to 1, 25-12. 22-25, 23-25, 25-19, and 15-12.

Isa Molde led the Lady Maroons with 23 points from 19 attacks, 2 blocks, and 2 aces. Judy Abil on the other hand led the Lady Warriors with 20 points.

#UAAP81 Juniors Basketball Semifinals

The Ateneo Blue Eaglets booked the last ticket to the finals after they escaped past the late run of the FEU Baby Tamaraws 90-83. 

The Baby Tams were able to start okay in the game with a 5 point lead in the opening period, but the Blue Eaglets started to pull away in the latter part of the game pushing a huge deficit as high as 21 points, but the Baby Tams didn't just gave the game away that easy as they were able to cut down the margin down to a single digit deficit, but the Baby Tams were already in foul trouble early in the final period with the Eaglets having none up until the last 3 minutes of the game foiling the comeback that FEU is mounting. 

Kai Sotto topped with 22 points, Ian Espinosa added 19, JR Jaymalin had 17 points, while GEO Chiu gave away 11 points and rebounds.

Ron Tolentino led the last charge of teh Baby Tams this season with 19 points and 14 rebounds, Rhonjhay Abarrientos added 17 points, Xyrus Torres scored 14, and Royce Alforque added 12 points.

In the first final four match up, the NU Nazareth Bullpups easily managed to defeat the Adamson Baby Falcons 94-72. 

Terrence Fortea dropped a career high 30 points, while Cyril Gonzales and Gerry Abadiano added 13 and 11 points respectively/ 

Didat Hanapi topped for the Baby Falcons with 19 points, Ap Manlapaz added 12 points and 14 rebounds, Jeremy Guarino added 11 points.

#UAAP81 Juniors Basketball: 2-10-19

The NU Bullpups successfully completed a comeback against the FEU Baby Tamaraws 81-75 to end the elimination round on top of the standings.

The Baby Tams were able to led more than half of the game they even led by as much as 10 in this game, but the Bullpups made a quick work in the end game to dodge the upset axe by the Baby Tams and to set up a final four duel with Adamson next week with a twice to beat advantage.

Meanwhile, the Baby Tams held their backs against the wall as they face the twice to beat Ateneo Blue Eaglets in the final four.

Gerry Abadiano led the Bullpups with 20 points, Terrence Fortea added 16 points, and Carl Tamayo had 11 points.

The trio of Baby Tams worked it out again with Rhonjhay Abarrientos leading with 23 points, Royce Alforque added 14 points, and Xyrus Torres contributing 13 points, joining the scoring game for FEU is Bryan Sajonia with 12 points.
