Gabriela Isler on Binibining Pilipinas 2014? (Updated)

Rumor has it that Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler from Venezuela is coming to the Philippines next month, It is said that she will be here to take part in the relief efforts of the Miss Universe Organization for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda in Visayas later next month, Gabriela is also said to be one of the Judge in the coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and She will be the one to Crown the 51st Binibining Pilipinas-Universe alongside Miss Universe 2013 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida. If ever this will be the 1st time that Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Supranational will be in one place, It will be nice if Megan Young will also be in the Event but well Miss World is not part of Binibining Pilipinas anymore.

Update: Popstar Emin is set to perform at the Coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 this March 30 at the Big Dome, Emin also performed at the Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia

Pinoys on Sochi Olympics

So as they say anywhere in this world there are Pinoys, and maybe many of you think that Winter Olympics are for countries that has Winter Season only, well even a Tropical country like the Philippines was sending delegates at the Winter Olympic since 1972, but they stop sending delegates in 1992, but after 22 years or equivalent to 5 winter olympics again a Filipino is representing the Philippines again in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

He is Michael Christian Martinez born November 4 1996 is the only Filipino Delegate to Sochi, Russia. The 17 year old Figure Skater is 5th at the 2013 World Junior Championship, Martinez also won the Gold Medal in the recently concluded 2014 Skate Helena. Michael will compete on February 13 at the Eliminations round of Figure Skating Men's Short Division, Hope He can make it to the Top 24 so he can be in the Final round of the Men's Short Division

Two Other Pinoys are in the Sochi Olympics but they are representing Canada and USA, They are Gilmore Junio and JR Celski, Junio is competing in Men's 500 Meter Speed Skating, while Celski is competing in Men's 1500 Hits in Short Track. Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

The 22nd Winter Olympics opened awhile ago at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi, Russia. The Olympics will run from February 7 to 27 with over 88 nations and over 2900 athletes participating in 98 events in different sports event.

This will be the first time that Russia will host the Olympics after the USSR broke down in 1991the last one was in 1980 Moscow , Present in the opening ceremony are different Heads of States led by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Olympic Committee Chairman Thomas Bach spearheaded the opening of the ceremony with performances of different Russian performers featuring the Great and Colorful History of Russia. The Sochi Winter Olympics became controversial few days before the Opening ceremony after Russia prohibits Homosexual Propaganda to Minors in the country that sparked protest from the LGBT Community not only in Russia but worldwide because it violates the Human Rights of LGBT Athletes
