Full House Tonight

The one and only songbird Regine Velasquez returns in a musical variety show entitled "Full House Tonight" starting this February 18 after Magpakailanman on GMA 7. The shows concept is combined version of the musical "Songbird" and the show "Comedy Bar" that features different type of performances from the team.

 

 

Regine is joined by Solenn Heussaff and Joross Gamboa along with Teen Stars Miguel Tan and Bianca Umali with ofcourse top caliber comedians Kim Idol, Tammy Brown, Sarah Brakensiek, and Gian Carlo Terry that will surely bring laughter and smile to your late night habit.

The FEU FERN Baby Tamaraws scores a come from behind 64-62 win over the Ateneo Blue Eaglets to secure the twice to beat advantage going to the final four. 

The Baby Tams didn't started off well in this game as they trailed behind 6-20 against Ateneo, but slowly the Baby Tams were able to trim the lead of the Blue Eaglets down finishing the first half at 24-37. 

The Baby Tams started to build their momentum up in the third period after outscoring the Blue Eaglets 21-12 to cut the deficit down to a 45-49 lead. 

In the final period the Blue Eaglets tried to keep FEU away from them as they continue to control the pace of the game,  but going to last few ticks of the game Rhon Abarrientos gave the lead for the first time to the Baby Tams at 63-62, LJ Gonzales sealed the victory by puttin in one charoty basket for FEU. 

Jack Gloria led the charge for the Baby Tams with 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Rhon Abarrientos and Kenji Roman added 10 points each for FEU. 

On the side of the Blue Eaglets, SJ Belangel led the flight with 23 points followed by Joaquin Manuel with 13 points, while Dave Ildefonso had 10 points and 11 rebounds for Ateneo. 

The Baby Tams and Blue Eaglets will face each other on Thursday. 

The Better Half

Another unique and different story of love and obsession is about to unfold in "The Better Half," ABSCBN's newest drama is a romantic drama-psychology thriller that will show how far a person can go for their better half, starting this Monday, February 13. 

Shaina Magdayao, Carlo Aquino, JC De Vera, and Denise Laurel leads the cast of "The Better Half", they will play the characters who will go all out for love. 

Get ready to meet Camille (Magdayao) and Marco (Aquino), a married couple whose relationship is tested by fate when his airplane crashed, leaving behind his wife broken. 

Thinking his husband is already gone, Camille meets another man in Rafael (De Vera), the man who will help her to forget about her bitter past and to move on. But when everything is starting to get back to normal, Marco returns to Camille's life, but now he is tied up with Bianca(Laurel). 

As their paths crossed again, will Marco and Camille turn their backs from the new beginnings they built and return to their old ways? Will Rafael and Bianca let them go that easy or will they fight for the love that they had? 

Also starring in "The Better Half" are Epi Quizon, Nadia Montenegro, Rommel Padilla, Carmi Martin, Zeppi Borromeo, Maila Gumila, Bart Guingona, Mari Kaimo, Joyce Ann Burton, Regine Angeles, Junjun Quintana, and Pooh. Revenge has never been this wild as Maja Salvador stages her much-awaited comeback on television as Ivy, a woman who will do everything to avenge her parents’ death brought about by a powerful political clan in “Wildflower” beginning this Monday (Feb 13) on ABS-CBN.

 

Before anger turns her into Ivy, get to know her first as Lily (Xyriel Manabat), a young girl who grew up in a loving family. Her father Dante (Christian Vasquez), who worked as a PAO lawyer, unfortunately received death threats for a case he handled. This prompted him to leave town with his wife Camia (Sunshine Cruz) and their daughter and relocate to Poblacion Ardiente.

 

The first week in Poblacion Ardiente went well for her family, especially Lily, who easily found a friend in Diego (Jesse James Ongteco).However, misfortunes continued to haunt their family when Diego’s father, Raul Torillo (Wendell Ramos), lusted over Camia and sexually harassed her. Without hesitation, Dante immediately filed a case against Raul, who happened to be the husband of town mayor Emilia Ardiente Torillo (Aiko Melendez). To protect their family’s reputation, Emilia took matters into her own hands.

 

In just a snap, Lily’s life suddenly crashed when his father suspiciously died in a heart attack. Lily was forced to leave her mother. Luckily, Lily escaped the wrath of the Ardientes and found herself in the home of Prianka Aguas (Priscilla Meirelles), who adopted her and raised her like her own.

 

Few years after, Lily finally returns to Poblacion Ardiente as the seductive and powerful Ivy, who vows to seek revenge against the Ardientes. Everything will work out as planned,  until she crosses paths with her long lost friend, Diego Ardiente Torillo (Joseph Marco).

 

How will Diego affect Ivy’s plans to avenge her family? Will justice for the death of her parents finally be served? Is there a chance for forgiveness and love in Ivy’s heart?

 

Also joining the cast are Tirso Cruz III, RK Bagatsing, Vin Abrenica, Malou De Guzman, Ana Abad Santos, Arnold Reyes and Izzy Canillo.“Wildflower” is directed by Onat Diaz, Raymond Ocampo, Cathy Camarillo under the production unit headed by Ruel Bayani.

#UAAPLXXIX Day 3: Lady Tamaraws Charged Back, Lady Bulldogs Takes Solo Top Spot.

The Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws were able to bounce back after their straight lost against La Salle last Sunday after they beat up the Adamson Lady Falcons in straight sets 25-12, 25-19, and 25-16.

 

Bernadette Pons led the Lady Tamaraws again with 15 points(14 spikes, 1 Ace), while Remy Palma added 13 points (7 spikes, 4 blocks, and 2 aces). On the side of the Lady Falcons Bernadette Flora led the way with 9 points( 7 spikes and 2 aces).

 

The Lady Tamaraws moves up to 1-1 while the Lady Falcons falters down to 0-2.

 

In the second game, the National U Lady Bulldogs overpowers the Ateneo Lady Eagles in four sets 25-17, 25-13, 19-25, and 29-27.

 

Jaja Santiago scored a huge 26 points (19 spikes, 6 blocks, and 1 ace) to lead the Lady Bulldogs, while Bea De Leon top scored for the Lady Eagles with 14 points (9 spikes, 4 blocks, and 1 ace).

 

The Lady Bulldogs goes 2-0, while the Lady Eagles drops to 1-1.

Singer-actor and the prince of Kapuso teledramatheme song James Wright releases a 12 track album under GMA Records entitled "Just Wright" that features different genres of music. The album contains six songs and six backing tracks, including the official theme song of the localized version of My Love From The Star entitled "My Destiny".

 

 



The album has five original songs namely "Ibig bang sabihin", "Please comeback", "Open up", "lahat ng aking pag ibig", "Mahal na nga kita", which are composed of several hitmakers and composers in the country such as Vehnee Saturno, Dodjie Simon, and Edmund Perlas.
