Kapamilya fans are in for a treat as the hottest and most popular Kapamilya heartthrobs show off their hoop skills and battle each other on the court in the “All-Star Basketball Game: Kapamilya Playoffs” happening on November 27, 3PM at the MOA Arena.

The first team, to be headed by Daniel Padilla, is comprised of Zanjoe Marudo, Xian Lim, Joseph Marco, Ronnie Alonte, Vin Abrenica, Anjo Damiles, Marco Gumabao, Patrick Sugui, Axel Torres, Jon Lucas, and Paolo Angeles.

They will go face to face with the team led by Gerald Anderson, who will play alongside Rayver Cruz, Ejay Falcon, Arron Villaflor, Jayson Abalos, Matt Evans, Diego Loyzaga, Ejay Falcon, Young JV Kapunan, Jimboy Martin, Gerhard Acao, and Joe Vargas.

#UAAPCDC79 Winners

The National University Pep Squad dominates the annual UAAP Cheerdance Competition held at the Araneta Coliseum, hosted by Nikko Ramos, Alyssa Valdez, and Gretchen Fullido.

The NU pep squad takes their 4th straight cheer dance title with their futuristic theme garnering a total score of 711 points out of the 800 total points, they lead almost all categories from tumbling, Stunts and Dance. They also took home their second group stunt competition title with 249 points. 

The resurging FEU Cheering Squad wowed the crowd with their broadway theme as they bounce back to the podium placing first runner up after missing the podium for the past three years with a total score of 658.5, the FEUCS placed second in tumbling, third in stunts, second in tosses, third in pyramids, and they are also third in dance. FEU also bagged the second runner up trophy in the group stunts category with a total score of 204 points.

The Adamson Pep Squad finally surfed their way in to the podium for the first time as they finished third in the cheer dance competition with their polynesian motif performance having a total score of 655 points, they topped the pyramid, they placed second in dance.

The UST Salingawi failed to enter the top 3 in the cheer dance competition despite their bollywood team, the once powerhouse team only scored 650 total points despite being third in Tumbling, Salingawi were also dethroned in the group stunts category placing as first runners up in the group stunt category with a total score of 229 points.  

#UAAPLXXIX Juniors Basketball: 11/19/16

The Adamson Baby Falcons stunned the defending champions NU Bullpups after a dominant 80-67 victory. The Baby Falcons were off to a surprising start as they soared high in the opening quarter with a 17-0 start leaving the struggling Bullpups scoreless until the 3:52 mark, Adamson ends the first period with a controlling 28-8 lead.

In the second period the Bullpups manage to turn the tables around as they were able to take a 21-10 run in the quarter to cut the lead of Adamson down to a 38-29 lead at the end of the half.

The Bullpups continues to chase the Baby Falcons down in the second half, as NU successfully trimmed the deficit down to a 54-57 ball game, but Adamson going in to the final period were able to stop the streaking Bullpups to push their lead up again in the final minutes of the game.

Flo Serrano led the Baby Falcons with a 25 points and 10 rebounds performance, Gerry Abadiano and Jason Celis added 13 and 12 points respectively as Adamson remains undefeated in the league after three games.

Win Coyuca and John Lloyd Clemente topped the stats line for the Bullpups with 16 points each, Rhayan Amsali adds up 12 marker as NU takes their first loss after three games.

The DLSZ Junior Archers finally snapped out of their back to back setbacks after they defeated the UST Tiger cubs in a tight 64-58 win.

The Junior Archers were off to a hot start in the game taking a 20-11 lead in the opening quarter, though UST were able to get back in the game in the second period after they were able to cut the lead of Zobel down to a 26-32 advantage at the end of the half.

Going to the second half UST were successful in catching up with the Junior Archers as they were able to take the lead at 33-32 to start off the third period, the Tiger Cubs were able to extend their lead to a 46-31, but Zobel were able to still tie the game at 49 at the end of the third.

The Junior Archers were able to tame the growling Tiger Cubs in the final period as they were able to limit them with just 9 points to take their first win.

Astro Vista led the Junior Archers with 19 points, while Rob Mariano added 12 points for Zobel for them to move up 1-2. Meanwhile, the Tiger Cubs were led by Timothy Delacruz with 13 points, Vince Dolendo added 11 points and Marlon Navarro added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The FEU FERN Baby Tamaraws triumphs over  the Ateneo Blue Eaglets 77-73 in the third day of the Juniors Basketball tournament of UAAP Season 79 held at the Arena in San Juan.

The Baby Tamaraws were able to charge early in the game to go up 14-8 in the opening period. Going to the second period FEU continues to control the pace of the game as they push their advantage by 13, 33-20 midway of the quarter, but the Ateneo were able to cut the lead at 37-29 to end the first half.  

In the second half the Blue Eaglets continues to cut the lead of FEU down to 37-34, but the Baby Tamaraws were able to put a stop of the runs of Ateneo to extend their lead by 10 to end the third period up 56-46.

In the final period the Baby Tams continue to keep Ateneo at bay as they were able to charge their way to the win after they successfully prevent the Blue eaglets to make a comeback even though they were outscored 21-27 in the final period.

Kenji Roman led the five Baby Tams who scored in double digit with 16 points, LJ Gonzales and JJ Sapinit both added 13 points, Xyrus Torres and Daniel Celzo contributed 11 and 10 points respectively. FEU-FERN improved their record to 2-1.

Dave Ildefonso topped the scoring for Ateneo with 22 points, followed by SJ Belangel and Rom Berjay with 17 and 12 points. The Blue Eaglets dropped their second game to go down 1-2.

The UPIS Junior Maroons topped the UE Junior Warriors 95-63. The Junior Maroons dominates early in the game taking a 23-12 lead in the opening period and duplicating it in the second period to take a 46-24 lead to end the first half.

Going to the second  half the Junior warriors were able to outperform the Junior Maroons after taking a 28-13 third quarter output to cut the lead of UPIS down to a 52-59. but the Junior Maroons unleashed their wrath in the final period making a 36 point output, the highest quarter output this season to push the Juniors away and secure the win.

Four Junior Maroons scored a double-double led by Juan Gomez De Liano with 24 points and 111 rebounds, Ralph Labao had 14 points and 10 steals, while Jo Tupaz had 13 points and 14 rebounds, and Matt Santiago had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Dustin Angeles and Genesis Vinte scored 11 points for UE.

Ronnie Alonte is indeed 2016's fastest rising star, after being one of It's Showtime's Kilig Ambassador #Hashtags that was launched the same month last year, Ronnie already achieved so many feat in his career like several endorsements, an album, an award, and a concert as a member of the hashtags, a solo digital single, and currently Ronnie has two movies that are vying a spot for the MMFF 2016. Ronnie is also set to star in his first teleserye along with Bea Alonzo entitled "A Love To Last".

Felix became close to the Snyder brother after being their tutor, Felix slowly became too attached to them as he finds himself already confused of his feelings to one of them. Things get dark as Felix realizes that he can't get himself out of the situation he's into, discovering the hidden persona of one of the Snyder's.

Can Felix escape it? can he finally assure himself of who he really is?

Talks about three highschool students, Felix, and Half Pinoy Half American Brothers Maxim and Magnus Snyder. Things were good between the three of them as Felix became the tutor of the brothers. Felix being a loner in school became so close with the brothers that leads him to opening his realm to a more liberated side of life outside school and his house. 

Ethan Salvador was a revelation, it was my first time to watch him act and I am so impressed with his portayal of Magnus, there's this scene with Khalil that really wow'ed me since I felt like he was a veteran actor already his eyes were very expressive and you can feel his emotions through his eyes. Ethan is a very promising actor, he got the potential and talent, he deserves a spot in the limelight. 

Jameson Blake being a newbie he was brave and bold in this movie, releasing all of his inhibitions to do daring scenes knowing that he is the most quiet in the Hashtag. He gave justice to the role of Maxim, the dark and more mysterious of the Snyder brother the character fits him well since he's really quiet. 

Khalil Ramos delivered best in this movie, after being a bit player and doing support roles on other movie Khalil just proved that he has what it takes to be the next best versatile actor, I actually see a young Piolo Pascual in him, full of potential and talent. 

All in all the movie was bit dark, but it's one of the best indie movie I saw. The transition of the movie from normal to dark was really good, I love the simplicity of it that made more deep plus the actors delivered well in this movie making it worthy of an award atleast in the festival. 

Enchong Dee Moves: EDM Album

After launching his musical career with a platinum-selling self-titled debut album, Enchong Dee is back with his most personal project to date via his second album “EDM (Enchong Dee Moves)” released by Star Music.

“EDM,” which Enchong says is his gift to his fans for his 10th anniversary in showbiz, also marks Enchong’s foray into electronic dance music. The album contains ten tracks, including carrier singles “Telenobela” and “’Di Ko Alam,” as well as “Hopia,” Enchong’s personal composition.

“’Hopia’ was inspired by a friend while we were driving, and I finished writing it in 30 minutes. There are so many love hopefuls, and this is for them – a tribute to people who constantly wish for a trusting, caring, and loving relationship with someone they like. So I wrote it for them,” he explained.

The album is mainly composed of love songs, such as the fun-laced “Oo Gusto Kita,” “Crush,” “Sa Huli,” as well as the tender and pleading “Hanggang Dito Na Lang.”

However, Enchong also encourages listeners to get up and dance with the song “Tara Pagpawisan.” Completing the track list are “Crush (Theo Remix),” which features a rap part by Hashtags member and “PBB 737” Teen Big Winner Jimboy Martin, and “Hopia (Theo Remix” featuring Bebe Riz BFe Wbh.

#UAAPLXXIX Day 28: Tamaraws End Losing Skid, Ateneo Takes Twice To Beat.

The FEU Tamaraws finally snapped out of their losing skid after a come from behind victory against the UE Red Warriors 64-61 in the last game day of the elimination round of UAAP season 79. 

The Tamaraws started the game struggling as they had a hard time countering the defense of UE limiting them down to just 11 points in the opening quarter, but slowly going to the second period FEU was able to climb back and erase the deficit of the Red Warriors to end the first half 34-all.  

The Red Warriors bounced back in the third period, outscoring FEU 19-10 to retake the lead 53-44 at the end of the third. But in the final period the Tamaraws were successful in restricting UE in scoring limiting them to just 8 points in the fourth quarter, giving FEU the chance to complete a comeback after a 20-8 quarter output. 

Axel Inigo led the Tamaraws again this time in a victorious effort having 16 points and 6 rebounds, while Raymar Jose added a double-double 11 points and 12 rebounds, Richard Escoto and Inno Comboy added 11 and 10 points respectively. On the side of the Red Warriors, Paul Varilla was the lone player to score in double digit with 13.

The Ateneo Blue Eagles sealed the twice to beat advantage for the Final Four after they outlasted the gritty Adamson Falcons 67-73.

The game went stiff for the two squads as the game will dictate what will happen in the semis, Adamson went on to take a 17-15 lead at the end of the first period, they continued to control the game in the second period as they were able to successfully keep the Blue Eagles at bay to end the first half up 33-28.

Entering the second half the game got fiery as Ateneo starts to play catch up, cutting the lead of the Falcons down to a single point lead to end the third at 52-53. The Blue Eagles were able to outlast the Falcons in the final period, outscoring them 21-14 to edge them out and send them down to fourth spot.

Thirdy Ravena led the Blue Eagles with 14 points and 13 rebounds, Mike Nieto and Adrian Wong added 12 points each. Meanwhile, Pape Sarr had a 17 points and 23 rebound performance to lead Adamson in this loss, Frederick Tungcab had a career high 16 points, and Rob Manalang added 12 points.
