LG G3 : Fashionably Late

One of the leading Smartphone makers in the world launched their best Smartphone yet, LG announced last week their newest flagship device, The LG G3. Though it is a bit late since Samsung released their Samsung Galaxy S5 last summer, Sony already released their Sony Xperia Z2 just a month ago. And HTC finally launched their HTC One M8 a few weeks ago.

Yes it might be late but LG’s G3 is not left behind when it comes to features and specifications as it packs superb specs that is much more better than the flagship devices of the 3 other brands. The specs of the LG G3 next.

The LG G3 features a massive 5.5 inches QuadHD (1440 x 2560px) True HD IPS LCD Display that features a superior viewing experience with its 534 pixel per inch resolution, the big screen is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 that is scratch resistant.

The thin bezels of the phone makes the screen bigger and the phone easy to hold since there’s no physical keys on the side of the device like the G2 wherein the Volume and Camera Button are placed at the back of the device below the 13 mega pixel camera with laser focus. While it also have a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera that is capable of recording 1080p video and it also has the Wrist/Palm Detection function that when you wave your hands to the camera it will automatically set a timer to take a photo of you.

The LG G3 runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat with a 2.5 Ghz Quad Core Krait 400 processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset for fast and very fluid user experience. It also has 2 different RAM capacities depending on the storage; the 16GB model gets a 2GB o RAM while the 32GB Model gets a 3GB of RAM. The phone memory is also expandable via the micro SD card slot.

A 3000 MAh user replaceable battery powers on the phone, LG’s G3 is set to arrive in the Philippines by next month priced at Php 31k I think, cause I saw some online selers already selling it at that price point.

iOS 8: What’s New?!

Last week Apple announces the newest version of their operating system, the iOS 8 which will be available in iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, iPad 3, 4, Air, and even on iPod Touch 5^th Generation.

The Beta release for developers will come out maybe next week, but before you get excited the Cartoony User Interface didn’t change it still does look like android-ish and surprisingly with the iOS 8 it becomes more android-ish here’s why.

1. Keyboard- Apple now allows it’s user to download third party keyboard application for enhanced typing experience on the Appstore. It now also features a Quicktype that is an improved recommendation engine that is context sensitive.

2. Widgets- Tim Cook also announced that in the coming months the iOS 8 will support Widgets for its application.

New features are also on its way alongside with the iOS 8 like the;

1. Interactive Notifications: that when you get a notification it will pop out at the top of your screen and then you can pull it down to check for it.

2. Double Tap Onscreen/ Home Button Double Tap: It lets you see your contacts with the view of all the tabs on the left side of Bookmarks

3. Healthkit: Now apple has its own health monitoring services like heartbeat monitoring, It also tracks down your exercise routines, how long was your sleep, calories taken and calories burned. All of this are availble in the Healthkit App.

4. Family Share: It allows families up to 6 members to share calendars, media , purchases, and more plus it gives an approval notification on their devices when a child purchases on iTunes or in the Appstore.

5. iPhoto: The new and improved iPhoto now allows you an extensive photo editing experience as it adds more tool in editing your photos on your gallery. It now also sync all of your photo from your apple devices.

Sadly there’s no new iPhone announced in the WWDC last week but maybe next month or in September there will be 2 new iPhones in the market

Coach Manny!

Today, Kia Motors announced that the People's Champ, Cong. Manny Pacquiao will be the Head Coach of their PBA Team next season. Pacquiao known not only being a boxer but also a basketball enthusiast already expresses his interest on playing for the PBA since last April when Kia, Blackwater and NLEX applied for the expansion of the PBA next season, He has been very vocal that he wanted not only to play but also he wanted to coach the team.

But I think one big hindrance that came with the ambition of Pacquiao to play in the PBA is that he still needs to go on PBA Draft for him to be able to play for the league, I guess that's why that resulted on Pacquiao being the newest Head Coach in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Will Pacquiao gives PBA Fans something very unorthodox and proved the critics that he's not just for Boxing?.

The newest season of the PBA will start right after the FIBA World Cup so that will be in September, aside from Kia, PBA D League Powerhouse NLEX and Black Wter Sports are also set to debut next season. There's still no definite line up of players for the new teams as they p are still on the process of recruiting, building, and bulking up the team.
