Sun Valley and Moonwalk’s bets crowned as Binibini at Ginoong Parañaque 2026

 

 

As Parañaque City proudly celebrated their 27th cityhood anniversary, beauty, culture, and barangay pride took centerstage as the winners of Binibini at Ginoong Parañaque 2026 were crowned during the grand coronation night held at Okada Manila last February 7.

Taking home the top titles were Aleckxis Chuidian of Sun Valley, crowned Binibining Parañaque 2026, and Rence Aldrich Mendoza of Moonwalk, who emerged as Ginoong Parañaque 2026. Both bested representatives from 15 other barangays, earning the distinction to serve as ambassadors of Parañaque City.

Meanwhile, Shelette Ann Samonte of Baclaran was named Binibining Parañaque Tourism, while Darmawan Supani of Merville received the title Ginoong Parañaque Tourism. Honoring the city’s heritage, Nicole Grencio and Warren Gusi, both from San Isidro, were crowned Binibining Palanyag and Ginoong Palanyag, respectively. (Palanyag was the original name of Parañaque)

Completing the roster of winners, Sheikah Calapata of San Antonio and John Adrian Zafra of San Antonio were named First Runner-Ups for Binibining and Ginoong Parañaque 2026. Meanwhile, Lisa Marie Craven of Merville and Miguel Antonio Vergara of San Dionisio secured the Second Runner-Up titles.

Mystery, Mayhem, and Menor: Dylan Menor Takes His First Lead Role in “Project Loki” on Viva One This February 21

Viva One and Cignal Play officially announce Project Loki, the live-action series adaptation of the hit Wattpad novel by Rheinlander C. Musni, also known as AkoSiIbarra. Headlining the highly anticipated mystery-crime thriller is Dylan Menor, who takes on the titular role of Loki.

Joining Menor in the series are Jayda Avanzado as Lorelei, Yumi Garcia as Jamie, Martin Venegas as Alistair, and Marco Gallo as Luthor. The story follows Loki and Lorelei as they investigate a series of unsettling incidents within Clark University. As their investigation deepens, secrets begin to surface, leading them to uncover hidden connections and long-buried truths within the campus community.

Lorelei’s encounter with Luthor, the university’s Student Council Vice President and Loki’s older brother, adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding mystery. Alongside Jamie and Alistair, the group forms the QED Club, a team determined to expose the darkest secrets of Clark University while solving the crimes that plague the institution.

Directed by Xian Lim, Project Loki is developed in close collaboration with original writer AkoSiIbarra, who assures fans that the adaptation remains faithful to the beloved Wattpad series.

Dylan Menor shared his thoughts on portraying the character, noting similarities between himself and Loki. “Lumalabas din naman yung pagiging nonchalant ko, pagiging mysterious, yun yung pwede kong paghugutan sa character ko para mas mabigyan ko ng justice at maportray ko nang maayos si Loki Mendez,” he said.

The series also features an ensemble cast including Candy Pangilinan, Kurt Delos Reyes, Ashley Diaz, Jao Mapa, Joanna Lara, Love Yauco, Michael Keith, Eric Ejercito, M Drew, Iven Lim, and Kent Domingo.

Fans can look forward to the premiere of Project Loki on February 21, 2026, streaming on Viva One and Cignal Play, with new episodes released every Saturday.

Asia Rose Simpson Crowned Miss World Philippines 2026

Eighteen-year-old Asia Rose Simpson of Quezon City emerged victorious as Miss World Philippines 2026, earning the prestigious crown during a glittering coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Simpson was crowned by reigning Miss World 2025 Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, alongside Miss World Asia 2025 Krishnah Marie Gravidez of the Philippines. At just 18, Simpson makes history as the youngest title holder of the Miss World Philippines crown to date.

Besting 23 other candidates from various parts of the world, Simpson stood out for her poise, advocacy, and stage presence. Manila’s Anne De Mesa finished as First Princess, while Pampanga’s Gabrielle Galapia also placed among the top contenders.

No stranger to pageantry, Simpson’s journey began early. She previously won Miss World Philippines Quezon City at only 17 years old and was crowned Miss Teen New Mexico 2023, establishing herself as a formidable force on both local and international stages.

A highlight of the evening was Simpson’s win in the coveted Beauty with a Purpose category for her initiative titled “SED”, a mental wellness advocacy that promotes sports and dance as tools for healing, resilience, and emotional coping, further solidifying her suitability to represent the Philippines on the Miss World stage.

JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith Go from Scares to Feels in “Almost Us” in Cinemas May 6.

 

After the success of their first movie, Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins last December 2025, JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith are set to be officially launched on the big screen through the film Almost Us.

Announced by Regal Entertainment Inc., Almost Us, which was earlier teased as “IRL” during the theatrical run of Shake, Rattle & Roll, is now set for a nationwide cinema release on May 6. The film is a collaboration with Antonette Jadaone’s Project 8 Projects and will be directed by Dan Villegas.

More details about the movie, including its story and full cast, are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
