Known for his iconic roles that has left a mark and has defined the Filipino comedy movie genre, Roderick Paulate is reclaiming a rightful place in the spotlight as he leads the upcoming movie 'Mudrasta'.
'Mudrasta' introduces us to Victor “Beki” Labrador (Paulate), who is unexpectedly pulled back into his past when he reconnects with an old flame, Enrique Santillanes (Gutierrez). But the reunion takes a surprising turn as Enrique passed away already, leaving Beki half of his estate and a stake in the family business. There’s just one condition: Beki must move into the Santillanes mansion and live with Enrique’s two orphaned children (played by Elmo and Arkin Magalona) and their strict grandmother (Celia Rodriguez).
What follows is a heartwarming and humorous journey as Beki faces old wounds, navigates unfamiliar territory, and tries to earn the trust of a family that wants nothing to do with him.
Starring along Roderick Paulate are Tonton Gutierrez, Carmi Martin, Arkin Magalona, Elmo Magalona, Awra Briguela, Odette Khan, and Ms. Celia Rodriguez. Directed by Julius R. Alfonso, produced by Creazion Studios, coming to cinemas this August 20.
