Fans are vital for a celebrity to get to that stardom they've always wanted, they sometimes make or break an artist. They are the measurement of a celebrity's marketability and fame, without fans these artists are technically nobody.
These people pour in time, money, and effort just to show their love for their idols, they can go as far as spending their money just to give gifts, they are also there to defend their idols from bashers and detractors. Fans can go that far for their idols.
But, what will happen when a fan goes rogue or too obsessed with their idols? I know we already heard of crimes that involved fans and celebrities that even went from bad to worst.
This 2022, Hand Held Entertainment Production is bringing this kind of story in the movie "Takas". Starring Teejay Marquez and Janelle Lewis.
The movie tells the story of Jake (Teejay) who is a famous celebrity, good looking, charming, definitely Jake is one of the hottest celebs that fans will drool for, but that fame and good looks will bring him an unfortunate fate as he was abducted and woke up with a mysterious girl, Belle(Janelle) in a remote place.
Will Jake be able to escape and survive?
"Takas" also stars John Lapus, Easy Ferrer, Marvin Yap, Rob Sy, and David Chua. Directed by former Indie actor Ray An Dulay and produced by Ms Kate Javier of Hand Held Entertainment Production, the movie is streaming on KTX.PH on February 15-19, tickets are already available for Php 249.
