We are now halfway through our special Guy of the Month feature for the candidates of the 8th edition of Misters of Filipinas and today, we are now getting to know our Mister #15 from Batangas, Jearu Ed Magbuhat.
Jearu is 29 years old and stands at 6'1" tall. Before joining Misters of Filipinas, Jearu was a already a ramp and print model, he was also a flight attendant for the country's flagship carrier, but due to this pandemic he was forced to sideline his dream job for now and go back to his original profession which is being a licensed Mechanical Engineer.
Aside from being a Mechanical Engineer, Jearu also focused on growing his social media presence he actually got himself an online hosting gig in an online show for brandsasia channel entitled Iamjearu.

Misters of Filipinas
Jearu admits that he already has plans to join Misters of Filipinas way back in 2019, but that time he was just starting off his work as a flight attendant and he needs to give his full attention and focused on his career, but now that he is free he is grabbing the opportunity again to join Misters and pursue this sidelined plan.
Joining this year's Misters of Filipinas would be the last for Jearu as he is already 29 and because of that he would like to end his career in pageantry on a high note.
Aside from wanting to represent the country internationally, Jearu also wants to share his advocacy that focuses on education. Being a son of a teacher Jearu always wanted to help and to give back to the younger generation specially those who are less privileged student to still get a good quality education despite the pandemic we are experiencing now and in his own little way along with his friends and colleagues they contribute a small part of their salaries to pay for the internet connection of a small community so that the kids there will still be able to continue to study.
He wants to share that no matter how hard life could be we can always give a lending hand in our own unique way.

Body Talk
Jearu shared that he was on the heavy side when he was a kid and growing up he really did strived hard to achieved that fit body that he has now.
He said that it was the right work out and diet that helped him a lot, he always does sit ups every day, cardio, he also does the push and pull workout. On his diet, Jearu does the water therapy, he avoid high in sugar beverages like juice and softdrinks, he also avoids rice and pork instead he does eat chicken, vegetables, and fruits.
Although, Jearu felt that he quite let himself loose during this pandemic and he thinks that he needs to restart again with all the work out and diet he did before so that come September, as they enter the pageant activities he will be ready.
Another thing is that Jearu believes that aside from improving the physical aspect, he also believes that another way to take care of the body is by filling the mind with informative, uplifting, and inspirational stuff, that's why he always make it a point to read books, listen to inspirational podcasts, watch uplifting videos on the internet.
When asked what part of his body is his favorite, Jearu says that it is his eyes, well I think I would agree with that as his eyes are really beautiful it's always smiling, meanwhile the part of his body that he thinks that needs improvement is his upper body specially the abs.

"Yung special someone ko, yung family, and of course it makes me happy kapag nakakapanuod ako ng mga inspirational na tao na amidst adversities and struggles nakakatulong pa din sa ibang tao."
5. What's your ultimate goal in life?
"Sa akin ang goal ko lang talaga is for my family na maprovidedan ko sila mama and tatay ng mga needs nila for the rest of their life, yun lang talaga yung pinaka goal ko na mapapasaya ko sila in everything that I do I can make them proud, na makikita nila yung anak nila na successful and hindi nahihirapan sa life."
