The Far Eastern University Tamaraws gets back at the UP Fighting Maroons after they outlasted them in a thrilling over time period that ended at 82-79.
The Tamaraws took control of the game taking a 18-17 lead in the opening period and finishing the first half up 30-27.
FEU even pushed their lead as high as 19 points in the 3rd period to finish it at 60-43. But going to the final period the Maroons fought back as they outscored FEU, 26-9 to force an overtime.
In the overtime period the Tamaraws outsmarted UP as they took over early to make it a 13-10 quarter scoring to get their 4th win to open up the second round.
Kenneth Tuffin top scored the Tams with 18 points, while LJay Gonzales added17 points and 12 rebounds. Pat Tchuente added 14 points and 11 rebounds, Xyrus Torres delivered 4 out of 4 in the three point area to give him 12 points.
Kobe Paras led UP with 22 points.
