2018 was another successful year for Binibining Pilipinas after Karen Gallman winning the first Miss Intercontinental Crown for the Philippines earlier this year, Ahtisa Manalo placing as 1st runner up at the Miss International Pageant, Jehza Huelar finishing in the Top 10 of Miss Supranational, Michele Gumabao's Top 15 finish in the Miss Globe, and of course the victory of Catriona Gray in the Miss Universe Pageant last December.
Many speculations and rumors spread like a wild fire this past few months on whether the Miss Universe-Philippines title will still be on the roster of BPCI, and just last Friday, March 1. The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. has announced that applications for this year's pageant is officially open and the girls are still going to vie for 6 crowns.
