The UP Fighting Maroons took the opportunity of beating and eliminating the UST Growling Tigers 83-69 after the latters star player CJ Cansino got injured and pulled out early in the game
Bright Akhuetie led the Maroons with 25 points and 18 rebounds, Paul Desiderio followed with 19 points, while Juan GDL had 11 points for UP as they continue their quest to get in the final four.
Marvin Lee and Renzo Subido teamed up to fill in the gap left by Cansino after they scored 26 and 22 points respectively.

The Adamson Falcons booked the second ticket to the final four after they easily handled Alvin Pasaol's historic peat beating the UE Red Warriors 85-72.
Jerrick Ahnamisi soared high for the Falcons with 23 points, Sean manganti added 19 points, while Jerom Lastimosa added 10 points.
Alvin Pasaol led the Red Warriors with 24 points and 10 rebounds, Philip Manalang followed with 19 points, while Jose Cullar added 12 markers.
