First Love tells the story of Nick and Ali, who are both uncertain on what their life is going in Vancouver, Ali (Bea) is a store helper/photographer who dreams of becoming a wildlife photographer some day but her dreams of becoming one is hindered by a heart ailment though despite that she still lives her life positively, meanwhile Nick (Aga) is a businessman who hides so many things in his life he is a contrast to Ali's jolly personality as he kept things by himself, he dreams of becoming an astronaut someday.
The two despite their situations found love in each others company, they seized the day because they believe that in love their's not ending just new beginnings.

Okay, First Love, this movie has all the feels of a Nicholas Sparks movie actually when you see the movie it really feels like a Hollywood movie not only because of the location in Vancouver but the whole experience was like watching one.
I asked Direk Paul if the movie was color graded or was the movie edited to look a bit gloomy and he said that he only did minimal editing in the movie since the location already has its own natural gloomy weather and I guess that adds up to the whole experience watching the movie (Plus the cold AC of the cinema).
My favorite scene in the movie was the bookstore scene between Aga and Bea, the whole scene was picture perfect, it was one of the highlights of the movie it was done so beautiful you shouldn't miss that scene when you watch the movie.
The story looked cliche, but there were twist and turns on the characters just like the relationship between Nick and Simon, I just love the ending by the way.

Aga and Bea of course as expected they delivered wonderful performance, they might say they've seen the two of them playing the same characters but I beg to disagree as the brought life to new characters.
The one that really shined in the movie is Edward Barber, the kid is relatively new when it comes to acting and we've known him and frequently seen him with his love team but boy he just showed in this movie that he is next line to be one of this generations top leading men and actors,
The delivery of his character as Simon was really natural, he was able to make it at par with a veteran Aga Muhlach in their scenes, I sometimes felt that they are of the same age. Hopefully we see Edward doing projects like this.
Another character that I love is Albie Casino, though I kinda felt the character wasn't "bagay" for him coz I find him awkward doing some actuation I really enjoyed his portrayal of the character.

Over all the movie good, not a hugot movie, but it is a life en lighting one.
