SOL Searching tells the journey of Sol (Gilleth) who is a public school teacher who died due to aneurysm, joining Sol in finding her resting place is her best friend Lorelei (Pokwang) and her favorite student Budong (JM).
Sol's journey went rough as people declined to help Lorelei and JM since they perceived that Sol is a cursed woman and ill mannered, but as the story goes secrets were one by one uncovered about the life of teacher Sol.

The movie is quite depressing, but it was damn hilariously funny. The story was full of misfortunes but still the characters always get to find a way to make every other scene funny, plus also the flashbacks flowed smoothly along with the present story.
But to be very honest Sol Searching is the best To Farm film I've watched so far, it was too engaging you wouldn't want to miss a single scene. Also I liked the way the movie silently raises the issues of our public school teachers are facing, on how corrupt some officials in the provinces, and how people judge you based on what they only know about a person.
While watching Sol Searching I felt like I am watching Die Beautiful, the difference is that instead of changing looks every day, Sol is changing locations for her funeral that made it even darker since misfortunes comes every time they move from one place to another,
To Farm's advocacy is to promote anything about agriculture and Sol Searching tackled how important educating the young ones about farming and making it a career because just like what the character of JM Salvado said in one of the scenes "Tayong mga tao kain lang tayo ng kain, sino na ang magtatanim kung mauubos na sila (Magsasaka)", specially the Philippines being an agricultural country we need to educate not only our children but also ourselves on how important farming is.
The movie hits two birds with one stone, it doesn't only gives importance to farming as it also pays tribute to our noble teachers, specially those who are in the rural areas where most of the students can't afford to get a decent education because of poverty, but like what Sol said "Ang Pagkatuto ay walang bayad".

Pokwang wasn't the typical Pokwang we are used to in her past projects, she is a shade darker in Sol Searching. Portraying the role of Lorelei who hides a dark secret Pokwang perfectly played the role full of struggles and misadventures.
I was used to see Gilleth Sandico from the bit roles she played in teleseryes and mainstream movies, but in this movie despite playing the already dead Sol and only appeared on flashbacks she was still able to deliver such a great performance.
Lastly, JM Salvado really stood out in this movie, the child actor made wonders in this film. He and Pokwang really made an entertaining team up in this film with DaGoat of course.
