They made history last season 93 by sweeping the elimination round at 18-0, many thought that they will end the reign of the defending champions last year but to the surprise of many expectators, fans, and even their community, the smooth sailing and strong ships of the Pirates sank and drowned them in the finals as the Red Lions of San Beda returned the favor of sweeping them in two games in the best of three finals.
Maturity and lacked of championship experience were the key factors in Lyceum's meltdown last season and coming to season 94 the Pirates armed themselves with experience from different leagues where they went home on top plus retaining a solid core line up with returning key players such as the twins Jayvee and Jaycee Marcelino, Jesper Ayaay, Ralph Tansingco. Spencer Pretta, and of course last years' Most Valuable Player CJ Perez is coming back to avenge their loss last season.
