This mother's day Solenn Heussaff and Paolo Ballesteros transforms into unconventional parents in My 2 Mommies, Solenn plays her first mother role ever as she portrays Monique, while Paolo plays the role of Manu.
My 2 Mommies tackles the story of friends, Monique and Manu who mistakenly had a one night together that brought their son Tristan to the world, but before that Monique already left the country to start a new life, so as Manu who thought everything was doing fine as he already found his partner Ronnie, but his world was shaken when Monique returns to the country with their kid.
Things got more complicated for Monique and Manu as on how they will tell their son the situation they're in with Manu being Gay how will he become the perfect father figure his son needs and how Monique will tell her child on how complicated their situation is in the movie.
Portraying a mother role for Solenn is a new thing since she hasn't played one yet and even though she is already married for almost two years they aren't still having a baby yet, but what made Solenn take on the project is because of the good story and the character is really socially relevant since there are lots of single parents out there and Solenn is not scared of being typecast-ed to mother roles since she believes that viewers and fans are already open to this kind of characters.
Paolo on the other hand felt that the character of Manu was tailor made for him, he even jokingly told us that the character should be named after him since he could see himself on the character and that they really had similarities that are sometimes too close to his personal life.
My 2 Mommies offers something different this Mother's Day, it will showcase a different perspective on what motherhood really is.
