Cosyn Mediatech Releases La Luna Sangre Filter App

On the action-packed ABS-CBN teleserye La Luna Sangre, chosen one Malia Rodriguez and intrepid vampire hunter Tristan Torralba—played by the love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, respectively—battle the forces of darkness together.

Since it premiered in June 2017, the show has proven itself to be a winner in the ratings game, partly thanks to the special guest stars it has introduced. Today, multi-awarded actor-director Coco Martin adds his name to the long list of stars who have lent their time and talent to the show. But as exciting as it would be to see Coco in scenes opposite Kathryn and Daniel, unfortunately, he isn’t joining the cast. But he did help develop a cool new app for the show.

La Luna Sangre has carved out a strong foothold in the digital and mobile worlds. For instance, the official hashtag of each episode always hits the top spot of Twitter’s Philippine trends list. In order to further strengthen that foothold, Cosyn Mediatech launches the La Luna Filter App for Android and iOS devices.

Coco co-founded Cosyn Mediatech in partnership with Synergy88, a Philippine-based group of businesses in digital media entertainment.

Like Tristan on La Luna Sangre, Coco is working side-by-side with a woman. In this case, Coco works with Jackeline Chua, Synergy88’s co-founder and Managing Director, and the company’s other incorporators to oversee the day-to-day operations of Cosyn Mediatech.

Cosyn Mediatech is in the business of developing mobile apps for various clients. Its services include creating content (such as character design and plot development) for such apps. Cosyn’s first project? The Ang Panday mobile game, the full version of which was made available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store last December.

The Ang Panday mobile game became a massive hit. It was number one on the Google Play Store and cracked their list of the Top 10 Free Games, even placing higher than the official Star Wars mobile app. It has since been downloaded more than 200,000 times from the Google Play Store, earning positive comments like “addictive” (in a positive way, mind you) and “astig”, to name a few.

Coco’s partnership with Jackie and Synergy88 works. Coco brings his showbiz flair and storytelling expertise to the table and, as another creative partner, they collaborate with him on the technical aspects of digital marketing and game development. Jackie says that although the Philippines is new to both fields, it’s no slouch in either department.

Synergy88 is the first and only Microsoft-certified studio in the Philippines at the moment. It’s important to note that Microsoft grants certification only to those service providers that meet their exacting global standards, and they also have to undergo a meticulous process of due diligence.

Synergy88 earned this distinction when they co-developed Triple A 3D assets in the acclaimed Xbox One and Windows video game Gears of War 4. That’s why we say the combination of Coco, Jackie and their respective firms is a winning one.

Right now, Cosyn Mediatech caters mostly to the showbiz set; but its co-founder Coco says it’s working on expanding its clientele. But for now, it’s focusing on solidifying its presence in the fast-growing market of celebrity apps.

When most people hear the term “mobile apps,” they think only of games. But although Cosyn Mediatech does work on games, its services actually go beyond that. It also develops non-game apps (like marketing and utility apps), and offers animation and graphic design services.

Most people know Coco only as an actor and endorser; hence they were surprised when he decided to helm Ang Panday. But no sooner had they gotten used to the idea of “Direk Coco” when he lobbed another curveball at them by going into business with Synergy88 and putting up Cosyn Mediatech.

Multi-awarded actor-director Rodel Nacianceno aka Coco Martin flashes a smile at the launch of the #LaLunaSangreFilterApp, the latest mobile app developed by the digital media corporation COSYN Mediatech, of which he is founder and Creative Director. COSYN recently formalized its partnership with ABS-CBN, and is set to develop a wide variety of mobile apps for its artists, programs and other properties. With Coco are (from left to right) ABS-CBN Licensing Heads Pia de Leon, Julie Ann Gutierrez, and Karen Coloma; ABS-CBN Retail and Licensing Head Ina Quiogue, ABS-CBN Business Unit Head for Star Creatives Des de Guzman, COSYN co-founder and Managing Director Jackie Chua, and COSYN co-founder and Business Development Director Elize Estrada. #COSYNxABSCBN
