Nokia: The Resurgence

After years of rumors and speculations about Nokia's return to the smartphone market, finally the former number one mobile phone manufacturer revealed that they are set to make a comeback this 2017.

The confirmation started after Nokia announced that their CEO Risto Silasmaa is set to have a keynote this coming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this March 2017, until the finnish brands official Facebook page confirmed that they are working with HMD Global Oy another finnish mobile company that is owned by Smart Connect LP and most of the employees were part of the old Nokia Mobile arm that Microsoft bought and was sold back to them.

In April 2014, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop sold the Mobile Phone arm of Nokia to Microsoft, prohibiting Nokia to produce any mobile phones until the end of 2015, early 2014 the Fins started to work on their own android launcher called Nokia Z that eventually became the launcher of their first android tablet manufactured by Foxconn that was named Nokia N1.

The release of the Nokia N1 fueled the speculations of the return of Nokia to the mobile phone scene as the Microsoft Mobile (Formerly Nokia) starts to end the production of Lumia devices which sales began to fall after MS dropped the brand Nokia.

Many renders came up to the internet showing the rumored android devices that Nokia is working on, but the most prominent and the closest to reality is the Nokia C1, that features a 5 inch LCD with aluminum unibody design that runs on the latest android os which is the 7.1 nougat.

Things gets more exciting as we get near the MWC 2017, will Nokia's resugence affect the current mobile phone battle? Can Nokia attract their old patrons? Can Nokia start another revolution in the Mobile phone scene? I am just so excited for this and I know you fellow Nokians are also excited for this.
