The San Beda Red Cubs difuses the JRU Light Bombers 79-69 in the last day of the first round of elimination of the NCAA. The Red Cubs showed might early in the game as they take a huge 24-14 lead in the opening quarter, though going to the second period the Light Bombers were able to match the output of the Red Cubs still they are down 43-32 to end the first half.
In the second half, the Light Bombers were able to outperform the Red Cubs after a 30-20 output in the third period to cut the lead down to a single point deficit 62-63 to end the third period.
In the final period the Light Bombers ran out of bombs as they were only able to score 7 points in the last 10 minutes of regulation giving the Red Cubs the chance to dominate them again to take the win.
Team Captain Sam Abuhijleh led the Red Cubs with his double-double output of 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Robi Nayve topped the scoring with 15 points, Peter Alfaro shows no signs of injury anymore as he contributed 12 points for San Beda.
Toby Agustin was the lone bright spot for the Light Bombers having 25 points and 6 rebounds, Lloyd Sta Maria added 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Jairuz Torre added 10 points and 8 rebounds.

The Malayan Red Robins routs the Letran Squires 95-74. It was a tight opening period for both squad with the Red Robins taking a slim 18-14 lead over the Squires.
But going to the second period the Red Robins became furious as they outperform the Squires doubling their output 32-16 to end the first half up 50-30. The Red Robins continues to the Squires in the second half leading them as high as 29 points,
Romuel Junsay showed the way for the Red Robins as he topped the scoring with 25 points, Sherwin Concepcion added 12 points and 12 rebounds, Clint Escamis, Jasper Salenga, and Warren Bonifacio added 12,11 and 10 points respectively.
Kobe Monje was the only one on the side of the Squires to score in double digits with 15 points.
