The National University Bullpups reclaims the title of the juniors division of the UAAP after beating the De La Salle Zobel Junior Archers 96-75 in the game 3 of their finals showdown.
The Bullpups showed dominance over the Junior Archers early in the opening period as they were able to start the game establishing a huge 22-9 lead. Going to the second period the Junior Archers were able to regain their shotting as they were able to match the hot shooting of the Bullpups to atleast recover to end the half 37-48.
But going to the third period the Bullpups became unstoppable as they widen their gap against the Junior Archers after a 31-15 output to push the lead up 79-52, though the Junior Archers were able to recover again in the final period outscoring the Bullpups 23-17 it wasn't enough for them to at least closed in, as the Bullpups already ran away with the title.
Five Bullpups scored in double digit in their championship game, they were led by Winderlich Coyuca with 20 points, followed by Juztine Baltazar with 18 points and 14 rebounds, Karl penano added 16 points, John Lloyd Clemente added 15 points and 15 rebounds, and Rhayan Amsali added 11 points and 9 rebounds.
On the side of the Junior Archers they were led by Aljun Melecio with 22 points, followed by Jan Sobrevega and Marco Sario with 20 and 14 points respectively.
The Bullpups were able to win the first game 78-58, while the Junior Archers were able to stay alive in game two after a 71-60 win over the Bullpups.
