#NCAA91 Day 37: CSB Gets Back To Back Win, Arellano Stays Alive

In the Tuesday game day of the NCAA, the College of Saint Benilde Blazers though they are already out of contention for the final four, they were able to get their first back to back win in the season after beating out the Lyceum Pirates 59-56.

Lyceum started the game strong leading the Blazers 9-12 at the end of the low scoring first quarter, but Saint Benilde bounces back to end the first half 29-25. In the second half Lyceum were able to tie the ball game and catch up with the Blazers to end the third period 43-all,

In the fourth quarter Saint Benilde grab the lead back to leave the Pirates at bay, though Lyceum were able to catch up 59-54 with few ticks left in the game back to back fouls from Saint Benilde trimmed their lead down to 59-56 but it was already late for a comeback for the Pirates as the Blazers already sealed the game.

Gerard Castor top scored for the Blazers with 14 points, meanwhile Joseph Gabayni scored a double double 14 points and 11 rebounds for Lyceum in losing effort.

In the second game the Arellano Chiefs swept the San Beda Red Lions this season after defeating them 91-72.

Arellano entered the game eager to stay alive in the final four race as they know that if they will be defeated by the Red Lions they will be going down to 6th place, the Chiefs held on to an early 27-18 at the end of the first period to start the domination as the Red Lions struggles to get into groove as they fell 48-37 at the end of the first half.

In the third period San Beda were able to get close at 50-54 but Arellano made a 25-2 run to end the quarter at 73-56, In the fourth period Arellano already pulling away as the Red Lions continue to struggle as they were outscored by the Chiefs to stay alive in the final four race.

The Bus driver Jovanie Jalalon top scored in this game giving out 25 big points for the Chiefs to stay in contention, meanwhile Ola Adeogun was the lone bright spot in the struggling Red Lions producing 17 points.
