Review: Always Be My Maybe

Always Be My Maybe tells the story Tintin and Jake, Tintin played by Arci Muñoz is a struggling make up artist that was left by her boyfriend, while Jake is a businessman he owns the resort where they both met each other, his family also owns a Pest Control Business.

Jake and Tintin found comfort in each others company as they were both in the same situation, but as day passed by they both felt that their relationship is growing deeper and they are getting attached to each other, but still they don't put label on their status as they are both afraid to commit again.

The story for me was good though the story line was almost the same as every hugot film of Direk Dan, but I guess if you watched all,or most of his movies they have their own unique selling points and this one is for those who are trying to move on, but they are having a hard time labeling their relationship status which for me is very similar to the theme of the 2012 movie "Unofficially Yours".

I really like the execution of the film, Direk Dan made the story fun and stick to his formula in making a romantic comedy movie full of "Hugot", plus the inclusion of the "Youtube Tutorial" was really a good idea as it became the channel for both characters to express their feelings.

The camera angles placed more drama in every scene it made the movie look like a Hollywood movie specially the love scene part of the movie, speaking of the love scene it is also my favorite part in the movie as it is very sensual and very sexy even if they didn't show too much skin or they didn't show that much penetration, but still their body language showed so much sensuality and sexiness.

Gerald Anderson delivers well in this movie, he just proved that he is one of the most versatile actors in the country today that he can be paired to whoever actress in the industry.

Arci Muñoz was the bomb in this movie, never knew she will be this good in rom-com she was very natural and very bubbly in the movie actually she is the life of this movie, to everyone who doubt of Arci's acting prowess should watch this movie, Arci Muñoz could be the next "It" girl of Rom-Com Movies.

The experimental love team of Gerald and Arci showed so much Chemistry that it became an instant hit for me, for artists that worked for the first time in a movie I must say they did great.

All in all the movie is worth your money, it will teach you how to move on and how to be brave enough to get into a relationship again. This one is another feel good movie from Star Cinema

Set to end in 6 days, “On the Wings of Love” has turned into a phenomenal hit among Filipinos worldwide since it premiered in August 2015 as it captivated audiences with the heartfelt love story of Clark and Leah.
Critics and fans alike also praised how the show championed OFW issues by delving into thorough research to properly depict it in “On the Wings of Love.”

John Lloyd Cruz and Jennylyn Mercado is set to star in their first movie together under Star Cinema and Quantum Films.

In a photo posted by Star Cinema on its official Instagram account, the two already started shooting some scenes fro the yet to be named movie under Cathy Garcia-Molina.

It is known that in the last MMFF the producers of their movies had issues with regards the award giving body.

This is the first time Jennylyn will be working under Star Cinema though she already worked with some Kapamilya stars like Sam Milby and Jericho Rosales

The movie is coming soon, this could be Star Cinema's post Holy Week movie, and this is the third time this year that Star Cinema experimented with their love teams. (The first one was Xian-Angel in Everything About Her, followed by Gerald-Arci in Always Be My Maybe)

Pangako Sa Yo: The Finale

IWill the ultimate promise of love be fulfilled by Angelo and Yna? as they both face the final test for their love with the iconic teleserye "Pangako Sa Yo" enters its final week this week.

Starred by the Teen Queen and King of showbiz, the Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla starred teleserye is about to bid adieu this February 12, Pangako Sa Yo started airing May of last year and this remake has garnered praises as it proves to be one of the best teleserye remake.

“This project is a stepping for me and DJ (Daniel) to be more open to mature roles. This is the perfect project because it’s been tried and tested, you can see that we have really grown here. And that’s the goal – to show a different side of us,” said Kathryn, who portrays Yna in the series.

Daniel, meanwhile, cannot help but reminisce the scene he considers the most memorable from “Pangako.” “That trailer where we were running on a hill, that is memorable to me, because everything started there. We felt at that time that this was it. It’s a legendary scene. It’s an honor for us,” shared Daniel.

But aside from the undeniable impact of Kathryn and Daniel’s team-up is the unexpected love team of Jodi and Ian known as “AmorAdo,” which added spice to the series.

In fact, Jodi and Ian have gained their own solid following after fans noticed their undeniable chemistry on-screen.

The remake also made a mark in terms of acting, as Jodi and Angelica Panganiban reprised the notable roles of Amor Powers and Claudia Buenavista. Like in the first “Pangako,” the two Kapamilya actresses did not disappoint in conveying the humanity, pain, and toughness of their respective characters.
In the last few days of “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” Amor (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Eduardo (Ian Veneracion) finally found out that Yna is their long lost daughter Maria Amor, despite Claudia’s efforts to hide the truth from them.
But following this revelation is the realization that Yna and Angelo (Daniel) are half-siblings, who recently vowed to love each other forever by tying the knot.
How will this affect Yna and Angelo’s promise of love? How will they discover that Angelo’s real father is Simon (Alex Medina) and not Eduardo? Will Claudia be still able to destroy Amor and Eduardo’s happiness?
Since it premiered last year, “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” has consistently recorded high TV ratings and beat its rival program, according to data from Kantar Media.
In fact, it got its all-time high national TV rating of 40.6% last Tuesday (Feb 2), where Amor and Eduardo were seen leading closer to the truth about their daughter Maria Amor.
“Pangako Sa ‘Yo” also was also trailblazing online as it is the first-ever teleserye in the country to generate 1 million tweets on Twitter last June 2015 with its “Batas ng Alipin” episode. Aside from that, it was also the most searched TV series in the country, according to search engine Google.
As the program continued to reach new heights, Kathryn and Daniel’s achievements also kept coming. During the show’s run, Kathryn and Daniel, received numerous awards from different award-giving bodies, such as Vietnam’s Face of the Year Awards, LionHearTV’s RAWR Awards, PUSH Awards, ASAP Pop Teen Awards, and ALTA Awards.
The show also produced best-selling merchandise. Proving the popularity of the series are its jam-packed mall shows and “Thanksgiving Day” legs in the country and in the United States.
It even garnered an all time high ratings of 40% during the revelation of who is Maria Amor, plus the #PSYThanksgivingTour was a success with over 25000 people attended in SM Pampanga, and almost 10000 people in Market Market in Taguig, truly the success of this teleserye was phenomenal that it could also be in line with other classic teleseryes of ABSCBN
