Samsung announced last Monday, February 24, on their Event at MWC their newest flagship phone for 2014 the Samsung Galaxy S5, But it didn't made any impact at all since nothing much has change with the looks, few features were added but still it doesn't have that wow factor that will make you buy it, but well the phone adds some interesting features like the Fingerprint Sensor, IP67 Certified dust and water resistant that can last up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1 inches AMOLED Capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080x1920 picels and -432 ppi pixel density, the S5 also features an all new Touchwiz UI running on Android 4.4.2 and has a 16/32GB of internal memory expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD Card, it als has a 2GB of RAM, It packs a 16 Megapixel Camera with LED flash and a 2 Megapixel front facing camera. 

It runs on Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 chipset and is clocked at 2.5GHz from its Quadcore Karat 400 Processor. the phone features wireless charging capacity via Qi wireless chargers, S Voice,  S Health, Heartrate Sensor and the new Kids Mode to keep the things on your phone safe guarded when your kids touch it. the back plate of S5 looks like that of the Note 3 that is the only thing I noticed that changed significantly. It comes in White, Black, Blue and Gold. It will be available sometime next month the price is said to be lower than the price of S4 when it was released so maybe that's around U$400

Samsung also released the Samsung Galaxy Gear2 their 2nd Smartwatch.

The Nokia X and X+ have identical specs they just differ on the size of RAM. The XL looks good but well at a low price some specs are trimmed down like the Screen Resolution at 5 inches the Pixel Density of XL is just -187ppi meaning the resolution/viewing angle of the phone might be poor or low quality. but all in all the Nokia X Family is a very Promising product line of Nokia especially many people are anticipating and waiting for Nokia to join the Android Bandwagon. Let's see in the coming months when the phones are released and if they will sell like hot pancakes in the Market. The Nokia X is due anytime this week while the X+ and XL will be released Around Next month or in April.

So today Nokia announced new products and Services for their Smartphone line, and Yes the Much Awaited Android powered Nokia X is announced, Nokia X is the Newest Family of Smartphone of Nokia from the Feature Phones, The Entry level Asha, and the High End Lumia. The New Nokia X announced in 3 member the Nokia X, X+ and the XL. 

The Nokia X family runs on Android but less the Google Apps meaning it won't be having the likes of GMail, Google+, GMaps, Google Drive and Google Play, but instead you will be having the Nokia Apps and Microsoft Apps in replacement, You can also download Apps through the 3rd part Apps store like the Apptoide or you can Sideload apps using a Micro SD Card. 

The Nokia X Family targets the Midrange Phone Market with the price of 109 euros for the Bigger 4.3 or 4.5 inches Nokia XL, 99 euros for the X+ and 89 euros for the X.

Nokia also announce 2 new phones one is a Feature phone and another one is an Asha Phone, the Nokia 220 is the cheapest internet ready phone of Nokia priced at 29 euros or less the Php 5000, while the other one is the Asha 230 same size as the other Asha 500+ series but it has a different design it looks like a tiny version of the Nokia Lumia 625 and 1320. 

Nokia also announced that BBM is coming to the Lumia line in the coming months also they announced that their Imaging Softwgh ares will also be available on othe Windows Devices such as Windows 8.1 through SDK  Nokia is also set to release an Update for the Nokia Asha OS that will add One Drive and other new features to the Phone.

The Invitation also is color green and well everybody knows that Nokia always done the Blue logo and Green is the color of Android. 

Will the X marks the crossing over of Nokia from Windows Phone to Android OS? We have less than a week before the Event, Will Nokia X be the Mark of the Grand Comeback of Nokia? We will all find out on February 24 8am Barcelona Time.

Rumor has it that Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler from Venezuela is coming to the Philippines next month, It is said that she will be here to take part in the relief efforts of the Miss Universe Organization for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda in Visayas later next month, Gabriela is also said to be one of the Judge in the coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and She will be the one to Crown the 51st Binibining Pilipinas-Universe alongside Miss Universe 2013 3rd Runner Up Ariella Arida. If ever this will be the 1st time that Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Supranational will be in one place, It will be nice if Megan Young will also be in the Event but well Miss World is not part of Binibining Pilipinas anymore.

Update: Popstar Emin is set to perform at the Coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 this March 30 at the Big Dome, Emin also performed at the Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia

So as they say anywhere in this world there are Pinoys, and maybe many of you think that Winter Olympics are for countries that has Winter Season only, well even a Tropical country like the Philippines was sending delegates at the Winter Olympic since 1972, but they stop sending delegates in 1992, but after 22 years or equivalent to 5 winter olympics again a Filipino is representing the Philippines again in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

He is Michael Christian Martinez born November 4 1996 is the only Filipino Delegate to Sochi, Russia. The 17 year old Figure Skater is 5th at the 2013 World Junior Championship, Martinez also won the Gold Medal in the recently concluded 2014 Skate Helena. Michael will compete on February 13 at the Eliminations round of Figure Skating Men's Short Division, Hope He can make it to the Top 24 so he can be in the Final round of the Men's Short Division

Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

The 22nd Winter Olympics opened awhile ago at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi, Russia. The Olympics will run from February 7 to 27 with over 88 nations and over 2900 athletes participating in 98 events in different sports event.

This will be the first time that Russia will host the Olympics after the USSR broke down in 1991the last one was in 1980 Moscow , Present in the opening ceremony are different Heads of States led by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Olympic Committee Chairman Thomas Bach spearheaded the opening of the ceremony with performances of different Russian performers featuring the Great and Colorful History of Russia. The Sochi Winter Olympics became controversial few days before the Opening ceremony after Russia prohibits Homosexual Propaganda to Minors in the country that sparked protest from the LGBT Community not only in Russia but worldwide because it violates the Human Rights of LGBT Athletes
